I see all this predicted offense and am having a hard time finding who is going to generate it.MIAMI -6.5
@ CINCINNATI (68)
MEMPHIS -8.5
@ SOUTH FLORIDA (62)
TEMPLE -23.5
@ CHARLOTTE (48)
CONNECTICUT (45.5)
@ BYU -18.5

I can't start a guy (Flowers) that has 125 pass yd as his ytd high water mark. The back up got in for a series last week. While the rushing yards are nice, he takes a ton of carries. Seems like a risky cash play.Im currently leaning towards Yearby (MIA) and either Johnson or Mack from South Florida. Johnson seems like the safer play for cash since hes also their most productive pass catcher, and probably Mack for GPP. Aside from the RBs I agree its hard to see where the projected 27 points are going to come from too, maybe Quinton Flowers is the play and dont bother guessing which random WR is the beneficiary?
Not going with both Yearby and Thomas also allows a lineup with WRs from Memphis and Cincinnati, or Rashawn Scott from Miami too.
My feel is that the cutlines for 50/50s are easier, since knowledge isnt as readily available to the average fan than in NFL, but winning H2Hs, leagues, and tournaments are harder for the same reason. Ive got a pretty small sample size myself though.how is the competition in CFB compared to NFL? more fish?
I agree the QB cash play is probably just Lynch, but Flowers interests me alot in a GPP. Cincinnati's backup QB had what will likely be the best game of his career last week against the same defense. On the road, against (what I believe are far superior defenses) Florida State and Maryland he put up 15.8 and 19.9 respectively. At $7,000 he would just need the same lines this week to reach min-value, and allows for a lineup with both the top RBsI can't start a guy (Flowers) that has 125 pass yd as his ytd high water mark. Hopefully Knotts will add some clarity on a cheap RB2 so I can upgrade the WRs to guys who will be netting this production.
When that happens, take a guy who really is the focal point (MEM QB) and maybe one other guy and move on.I see all this predicted offense and am having a hard time finding who is going to generate it.MIAMI -6.5

Game in Charlotte could be wet. Was hoping to find the Temple 2nd RB for a play but don't see one.

Sources are key, I will only look at local newspapers or beat writers for the team. Often times you'll get guys just looking to write a story about a game they watched last week who have no connection to the team. The source on this one is the Salt Lake Tribune. It still is a risky play, but these are the types of plays that can win you a tournamentMan thats why college football DFS is hard. Googling Adam Hine BYU football, the first 4 stories, all in the last week with the most recent yesterday, are about how great Hine is looking and hes ready for an increased workload this weekend. Then the fifth story is saying Hine hasnt practiced all week and probably wont play this week. Nothing on Fanduel about the injury either.
Finalizing the projections now, and the writeup should be first thing in the morningDevin - When can we expect to see some content for the Thur-Fri slate?
thx GBI know Duke is rated off the charts but we're expecting about 12 inches of rain in Charlotte. Definitely avoiding Thomas
Nixon-I assume the weather isnt factored into the projections. For the games like LOU at NCST or Bama at Georgia game is there any obvious changes to be aware of. The real big question is what do you think the storm does to Dayes floor/ceiling on Saturday.
Edit: Damn, the Michigan Maryland game was moved to noon. Definitely have to watch for others, and how the sites handle the slate changes.
For cash game, I would go with Montiel at tight end, as he's more consistent and less touchdown dependent than Myers.Still trying to figure the college game out, so any critique is welcomed. Here are my 2 lineups for the Thurs/Fri slate:
Cash lineup:
QB P. Lynch MEM@SOF $9,500
RB J. Thomas TEM@CHA $8,800
RB J. Yearby MIA@CIN $8,100
WR A. Chisum MIA@CIN $4,900
WR N. Thomas UCO@BYU $5,400
WR M. Juergens UCO@BYU $6,200
TE T. Myers UCO@BYU $2,000
GPP lineup:
QB B. Kaaya MIA@CIN $8,600
RB J. Thomas TEM@CHA $8,800
RB S. Craft MEM@SOF $6,200
WR R. Scott MIA@CIN $7,000
WR B. Berrios MIA@CIN $4,500
WR A. Miller MEM@SOF $6,800
TE S. Price MEM@SOF $3,000
I hear you. I understand youre projection modeling, and not a meteorologist or a psychic. Like every other degenerate I just crave any information I can get.Nixon-I assume the weather isnt factored into the projections. The weather has not been factored into the projections yet, largely for two reasons.
1) We are still 48 hours from kickoff, and since I am a midwest guy who has only been in 2 hurricanes, I am not the best to predict the impact. What I will say is that I will be doing as much research as possible tonight to try to learn about hurricanes.
2) I'm not a meteorologist, so am going to wait on some reliable sources prior to updating. I would expect we will make some adjustments by tomorrow afternoon
I'm right there with you, we will have an article somewhere on my approach to the weather probably up tonight or tomorrow.I hear you. pretty sure he doesn't cover every player. There are too damn many. Still an incredible effort however.BassNBrew said:Brandon Reily Neb

I'm not finding them on the early slate chart.
Adam Hine has officially been downgraded to "Doubtful"On the bright side the word still hasnt gotten out on Adam Hine. Ill be curious to see how many people ended up rostering him
Sorry looking at the Friday slate. What slate are you playing on?
Hmm, tough one here not a lot of great options, as the teams aren't great offenses in general.Sorry looking at the Friday slate. What slate are you playing on?
Already have Proctor needed another cheapie to get the high priced guys I wanted. Looked at Kofa because he had 4 catches last week and Charlotte will likely be playing from behind but Myers does look like a better bet to find the end zone. Thanks for the help. New to daily CFL.Hmm, tough one here not a lot of great options, as the teams aren't great offenses in general.Sorry looking at the Friday slate. What slate are you playing on?
If there was no other option of potentially upgrading to a guy like proctor at 3400, I would go with Tommy Myers and hope he finds the endzone, if you're looking for the guy who is least likely to get you a 0 I'd consider Thomas Lucas.
Completely agree, Vegas has dropped the o/u by 10 points which is a significant shift from the first open. I am pretty confident that the game will get played, but wouldn't take either of the quarterbacks.NixonMask said:Well thats fun, Fox has a live feed from the beach in North Carolina and theres already extreme winds.
Edit: Not likely to effect the South Florida game in Tampa, but Id be really careful with the Carlotte/Temple game tonight
Weather for Charlotte tonite. Serious rain holding off until 10. Winds 15-20 mph.Projections have been updated due to weather and some injury concerns.
The big downgrades are the ND Clemson game and tonight's Temple Charlotte games.
Noel is probably safer than BlackmonAny opinions on Houk tonight? I was also leaning Noel Thomas over Devon Blackmon, any opinions on those guys the box score isnt showing?
Edit: I was also looking at Calvin Ridley from Alabama as a min salary for my Seth Russell cash lineup. Is the starting X receiver in Alabamas offense likely to continue seeing consistent targets, or is Georgia likely to keep the game script as much more of a grind than previous weeks?
Ugh, that sucks very rare for offensive players to get ejected.Frazier ejected, I'm hosed.
Not my night, I just made a mistake on a trade offer and got Chris Johnson rather than Calvin Johnson.
Yeah a lot of great games, I typically go very small on Thursday/Friday slates as I just am not a fan of them. Looking forward to tomorrow though.First time Ill be negative for the Thursday/Friday slate myself this year. The combination of Scott/ Fraser was just too much to overcome. I am looking forward to tomorrow though, alot of fun games.
