I suppose revenge is sweet, especially with the taunting by Angel Reese last year in the championship game. Clark dismantled LSU with 41 points, 12 assists, and 7 rebounds. Almost a triple double. By far the best player in women's college basketball.

Sabrina is right up there, IMO. Tragic that Covid robbed us all of what she would have done in the tourney. She and Clark are going to be fun to watch.

I turned the game on at half and my wife and I watched until the end. I had never really watched her play. It felt like she was taking on the entire LSU team and beating them. Maybe I caught her on a really good game, but that was impressive.

That was such a special team, three picks in the WNBA draft top 8 after that season, including picks 1 and 2. No way they were losing in the tourney. I mean they beat the USA National team in an exhibition to start the year!

That team really got me into women's basketball, and I've watched quite a bit of it ever since. I have season tickets for both the Duck men's and women's teams, and am more likely now to put on a random women's game than a men's one these days. I set Iowa's games to record this year, so have probably watched about half of them. And so many great talents this year, with Brink at Stanford and Bueckers at UConn also just special players.

Donovyn Hunter is on the verge of stardom. She's got it all. Oregon State is so close to breaking through with that young group.

The follow-up game of USC v UConn also did pretty well last night -- average 6.7M viewers with a peak of 10.4M outdrawing the UConn men in their Elite 8 game this past weekend (6.48M).

She embraced and promoted the heel card and then acted like she was surprised by that exact attention.

I'm probably way off on this but I thought I heard something like nine 40+ point games this year and some ridiculous stat like 30+ points in 15 games straight or something. And her passing may be even better than her scoring.

She pushes off A LOT and never gets called for it, but short of that she's pretty much unstoppable.

Clark does her share of taunting and trash-talking as well. They've both earned it. No surprise the media runs overboard with what is by all accounts a professional and respectful rivalry between two great players with bright futures. Reese's first half injury and foul trouble took the shine off a bit last night as LSU couldn't compete in the second half with Clark going off.

I saw UCLA the other night and came away really impressed with 6'7" Lauren Betts, a sophomore. Very smooth, very fluid for a big. a top HS talent out of Colorado. Seems like she's one to watch next year.
