I have been hanging onto this cat for years. Finally looks like he will reach his potential, and then he gets hurt. Hopefully not that serious.

"Sorry to hear about Andre. I didnt even know he got hurt yesterday but an inside source with the Texans just told me he is out for the season. (I know you might not believe me but just give it time as it will be all over the news this afternoon.) I was really looking forward to seeing if Rashean Mathis could finally shut him down this year. Good luck the rest of the season."

Probably BS, but my stomach is churning just thinking about it.

"HOUSTON (Ticker) - Houston Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson will have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of a left knee injury he suffered during Sunday's win at Carolina, according to a report on the Houston Chronicle web site.

Johnson told the newspaper he strained his posterior cruciate ligament and will be day-to-day leading up to Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts at Reliant Stadium.

"I'm a guy who never has injuries," Johnson said. "To have Indianapolis coming in next week, that's a game you don't want to miss. I'm going to take it one day at a time and do what I need to do to get myself ready." "

I think a strain is a pull but a sprain is a tear if I'm not mistaken. If in fact it's just a strain, given his determination, I would think he'd play. How effective he'll be, on the other hand, remains to be seen.

I know it sucks. I don't have Andre Johnson but I remember 5 or so years ago sweating out Edge's MRI when he tore his ACL when I took him #1 overall. It was like week 4 and I remember thinking my whole season was down the tubes. Losing Andre Johnson won't ruin your season but any injury certainly doesn't help. Good Luck.

Agreed. But yes, it's really weak to accept it now and you should be shunned by your league in all future trades if you do so.

I also had a trade offer for him last week but turned it down. I still think it's worth waiting to see what happens. He's a rare physical specimen and I am optimistic he'll return.

I just logged into two Houston Sports radio shows. One has the Jim Rome show and the other station is discussing possible RB's the Texans might examine in next years draft and have made no mention of AJ. My guess is this story has no legs and his MRI results are no known.

I don't see how this helps green. They are going to be able to really key in on the run as they have nothing CLOSE to what AJ brings on the outside. This hurts the offense tremendously - he is by far their best player.
