Right call on FG?J
yes.you don't score any points there and all the wind is taken out of your team.
Down 10 isn't much better than down 14 with this much time left. If you go for it and fail, huge field position advantage and chance of a defensive score anyway.
FGs are worth 4pts now?
I'm sorry... 11... I can't count.Down 11 isn't any better than down 14 in the 4th quarter. In the 2nd quarter, sure.

Looks like the Steelers needed that field goal. You always take the points. By the way, who are these people still voting for the Pats with the game in the fourth quarter. :rotflmao:

It's time for us Patriots fans to get a little nervous.
Check. But I feel better knowing I have Brady instead of Roethlisberger in a tight game.
I feel a little better now. The Patriots defense has had some time to rest and the clock has been wound down a lot. Still, the Steelers have scored on every drive in the second half.

Its increasingly likely the Steelers win scenario will now need a recovered onside kick. Anyone have any data on onside kicks? NFL average success rate? Success rate for Cowher? Belichick?

Around 40% for onside kicks that teams see coming. Surprise ones are recovered like 70% of the time. I was telling my buddy Pitt shoulda went for one after one of the last 2 times they scored. If they kicked that FG in combination with planning on an onside kick after, that would've been brilliant strategy.

Paging Dr. Drinen

I'm surpised they left Ben in there. He's killing you with turnovers. If Maddox played this entire game, I bet he at least doesn't throw an INT that goes for a TD.Looking at 4TDs vs 10INTs now if the call holds up.

WOULD YOU SHUT UP! What do you know about QB's. Tim Couch, Jeff Garcia, Kosar and Testeverde were all great weren't they?

Who is the ref talking to on his headset? As they cut to him moving away from the video, he was saying "do you agree" to someone on his headset.

I didn't think there was one good camera angle on that INT. The cameras kept losing view of the ball. Two close replays- one went the Patriots way, the other went the Steelers way.

Looking back is easy there. Outside of injury (and you can argue the thumb maybe) I leave Roethlisberger there easily. This isn't fantasy football. J

The replay officials upstairs. They all talk to each other during the challenge, but I'm pretty sure the ref makes all the calls.

His wife, didn't you see that commercial? She has HD at home.

Ok, now you guys are crossing into stinky bait territory. I figure some Steeler fans will attack me after this loss.

If not for Big Ben, the Steelers would not even be in the AFC Chmpionship game.

Like I said, I bench him week 16 vs the Giants.

:rotflmao: Or maybe it was the cops, busting him for stealing people's Bud Light and replacing it with Miller Lite.
