New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks Playoff Thread (1 Viewer)

As a Saints fan, the only hope I had was we duplicate our play of the last two weeks and Seattle duplicate theirs from week 15.

Ironically, assuming Seattle holds on, that's the team I would most like to see win of the 7 remaining.

Harvin is so fragile. You really have to wonder. The Saints safeties aren't Jack Tatum.

I think a lot of players would've been done after the first hit.

Seattle's D and weather have made Brees look like Blaine Gabbert. Incredible.

Seattle D is pretty decent.

Harvin took two blows to the head, so maybe he has a concussion but maybe they just don't want to risk him getting a serious injury up 16. Hopefully if they win he can play next week, he's been the only thing in the passing game that has clicked today.

Saints defense has been a pleasant surprise. Offense hasn't been as good as years past. Really, most of the good teams have basically shut us out on the road.

What a pick up Avril has been. Bennet too.
Totally agree.

I guess that Irvin wasn't the pass rusher that they thought when they used a first round pick on him.

I see him primarily dropping in coverage and he's really not a mager run stopper either.

The free agent pickups boosted the pass rush but it looks like they signed those guys because Irvin wasn't cutting the mustard as a pass rusher.

Would throwing the ball to Jimmy Graham every down really be a terrible strategy?
This is assuming (apart from this game) Brees didn't already do this? Every highlight I can think of the past 2 years from Brees to Graham is some idiotic throw into double or triple coverage.

This game shows what happens when Brees becomes too over-reliant on one receiver and a defense actually makes a gamelong dedication to shutting that receiver down AND has the personnel to do it.
