New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks Playoff Thread (1 Viewer)

Line is zooming to 10 with the weather news.

Line moved to Seattle because of some huge sharp plays, weather prediction hasn't changed.
You guys can't quit being snarky for ten minutes, can you.
The truth is snarky now?
I am hopeful we can have a good respectful conversation around the game, and look forward to a mature exchange of ideas. /stat

Thanks Pro. Me too.

I'm about 100 miles north of Seattle.

Looking out my windows I see trees getting bent WAY over. Wind is crazy here this morning. Rain coming down sideways. Much heavier rain than we are used to seeing coming in intermittent spurts. That's really out of the ordinary for this location. We usually get prolonged periods of a lighter misting. Who knows what it will be like in a couple of hours...

Seahawks radio saying Jimmy Graham and some Seahawk linemen mixing it up a little on field during pregame warmups.

It is now raining as hard as it possible can with a little hail where I'm at just north of stadium. If this keeps up it will be a crazy game to watch.

Settling in here down on the bayou. In the event of a Saints win I would end up drinking myself to death in NOLA.

If it's our last game, it was a nice ride. An unexpected but disappointing ride, if that makes sense.

I'm not expecting a Saints win in the slightest. Too many things would need to happen in order for us to pull off the upset and I just don't see that happening.

Looking ahead to next year and the future is bright. We've got both of the north divisions on our schedule and I like our chances. Plus Sean Payton is 17-0 in his last seventeen at home, with an average margin of victory of 21 points. The defense will get healthy and hopefully Rob will accomplish similar achievements next year. Lots to look forward to, fellas.

Seattle fans: I enjoyed the back and forth. That's entertaining to me. The NFC is y'alls to lose. I'm gonna enjoy my rare weekend in the sticks. Plenty of booze and BBQ are about to be consumed. Just remember who has the real HFA advantage and I hope to see y'all in the dome this time next year.

Enjoy yourselves, everybody.

they showed it on nfl network. looked like players from two teams were having fun with eachother and yukking it up, then jimmy got serious and started shouting and pointing (at i don't know what).

also, tough to tell from that angle, but the rain didn't look all that miserable yet. EDIT TO ADD: Now it does.

@blueosprey Malcolm Smith, Mike Morgan, and Bruce Irvin were seen getting into it with Graham. Graham heated, SEA LBs laughing.

Plenty of Harvin updates, but not a peep about Thomas.

Edit : Thomas inactive

One of the Seahawks LBers did the hop around in your face thing to a Saint and Jimmy got pissed. Hard to blame him, but obviously you gotta stay focused and let it go.

So with Thomas out, basically Ingram will have to play the game of his life. He's certainly hungry for it.
Trying to figure out if they lean on Ingram or Sproles with a lot of dump offs in this weather. I'm thinking rather than run into a Seahawk brick wall they may try to get Sproles in the open field.

Can someone list the in actives please.
NFL.com's garbage website is listing no inactives for either team as of yethttp://www.nfl.com/inactives
Thanks, but says nothing to report. NFL.com sucks.Didn't read your post.
According to PFT, in addition to Thomas, NO's inactives are:

The Saints’ other inactives are cornerback Terrence Frederick, quarterback Ryan Griffin, outside linebacker Rufus Johnson, safety Jordan Pugh, wideout Nick Toon and defensive end Tyrunn Walker.

I'd prefer they continue the power running game they've been building since the last meeting. I know it won't be easy, but nothing will. At least this would be a different method of attack than the one that failed miserably last time. Plus, the Seahawks haven't been invincible against the run. Arizona and SF both had strong performances on the ground, while Houston, STL and TB also did very well in narrow losses to Seattle.

I honestly think the Saints best chance to win this game is for it to be ugly and low scoring. Everyone thinks that favors SEA, but in reality they rely on big plays on both offense and defense. Brees chucking it with 7 step drops is going to lead to a pick 6 and a bunch of sacks.

Missed the thread so far today. Had to camp out at the vet where, for the paltry sum of $400, I was told that my dog is old. A deep inner ear infection is the likely cause of her staggering around and falling over, picture Breesisdaman after the 1st half, and not a stroke.

Hoping for no injuries in the unlikely event of a Saints win.

Also, doesn't look like the sun is out anymore.

Best wishes to your dog.

Hopefully the refs saw the Seahawks ganging up on Graham in the pregame and assess the proper 15 yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct
