Ron - watch this. It's a clinic on how to play this game. Everything you need to know about warlight is contained in this one, perfect game (although there are plenty of players who will argue that you can't have a perfect game on this map). This isn't against anyone from FBG - it's just a thing of beauty. Look at how I:

- close off the bottlenech to australia before i try to take the continent

- secure my bonus as quickly as possible

- slowly build up armies in other areas of the world

- use fog to keep them from knowing how many armies I get per turn

- anticipate tan's move and put my armies in a place i can defend against his weaker attack, preventing him from getting north america

- make tan think i'm in south america so he will put his huge army near green

- take out the last spotter in europe before i take over africa

- finish the game off with a perfect board

- never let them get a bonus the entire game

I want you to watch this, and truly learn from it. Then, I will teach you.

:lmao: Starting to love this schtick. You were lucky the other 2 started out next to each other and fought each other, allowing you to build up. And I guess you used mind control on green to make him totally ineffectual for the whole game. Still a good win though.

Disclaimer: BostonFred is VERY good at this game, but I don't think this is the "perfect" game. Fred does do some good moves against Tan, study those if you want to learn anything from it.

I may be able to sleep now that i'm past challenge 1. i'm afraid what will happen to my sleep life if i start trying to beat challenge 2..

 The junior jedi master is very kind to offer instruction. After you have reached his level, you may petition us for advice on Challenge 2.

PTTS. And by s, i mean the standings. I may not have mentioned this, but I claimed to be the best here and asked for a tournament. TFC set it up and chose rules and map that I don't use that much, then I beat TFC, and am in first place. Kind of makes that junior jedi comment seem a little silly.

After my first games in the FBGs tourney that were a murderer's row of Bfred, Gaspumper, and Humana for the first 3, I'm now hoping to go 6-6.

You want to be the ultimate Jedi Master, beat Challenge 2. The AI is dumber than humans, should be child's play for you. FBG times to beat: Gaspumper and I did it in 35 turns. Think the record is 26 or 27 turns. Get to it.

Right, that was me. I had come close to beating C1 twice and suddenly made a dumb move or two and got cleaned out. Finally getting it was a huge relief. C2 is really something; I played it for the first and only time yesterday and it was just as brutal as I'd been expecting. The guys who have beaten it - - which I think is still just around ten (?) people, including two FBGs posting right here - - have definitely done something very, very impressive. But for some reason C2 doesn't draw me in like C1 did, and I think I might redirect my time into some MP action now.

a couple people here have beat it multiple times, I think the number is > 10 ppl. I'm not into the whole restarting the game 12 times until I get the perfect 'luck' attacks to get all 3 bonuses in 2 turns though.

I got everything but this part.
Pause the game while I'm adding armies and pay attention to where I add them. As far as any of the other players can tell, my income is 5 until the end of the game. They can't ever see that I own a whole continent because I never put more than 5 armies next to a country owned by either team. If they had known I had the biggest income in the game they'd have come after me. But they never found out until it was so far past the point of no return that one of them literally just hid in one country adding armies each turn and the other just floundered around until he died.

If anyone wants to team up with me in the "Fireworks and Celebrations" tournament, I'm in Team N (3 players/team). If you didn't get an invite, let me know.

ETA: Oops, Team N is filled up. I'm starting Team D. Join up quick if you can.

I'm your huckleberry.
Cool. Remind me which Warlight handle you have. :banned:Oh wait. Guderian, right? You're already in there.

I was the first one in team N, then a couple people I don't know joined in with me. I guess it's not surprising that I'm a bit of a celebrity over there already. Fortunately for you guys I was able to switch to team D.

We are honored and humbled by your decision to grace our team with your presence, oh mighty one.

"And when Alexander saw the breadth of his domain, he wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer." Benefits of a classical education.

I love this. I will play in the next tourny, I'm not feeling up to a 3 man team w/o knowing who I'm teaming with first. I gotta tell ya, I am a BF fan, though. He's like Warlight's version of WCW era Chris Jericho.

Got my one win in the tournament, and there's a slim chance I'll win another game there. If you guys are starting any slow games and want a mediocre teammate, give me an invite.

I think I'm the best player at FBGs, but I can't think of any way to prove it.
FBG TOURNEY CHALLENGE?
Well, I just finished my game with Enrico Palazzo. He played a great game. In case anyone would like to be the first to congratulate the best player at footballguys for conclusively proving his superior skill to everyone in an undeniable fashion, I'll hold off on telling you who won. In the meantime, thank you to The Future Champs, aka Gaspumper, for setting up this tournament. As he mentioned in the tournament settings, bragging rights were on the line. As I mentioned before the tournament, I think I'm the best player at FBGs, and I'd like to thank TFC for giving me a chance to prove it. Because it was a lot of fun. I was playing in a game recently with one of our fellow footballguys, who shall go nameless, and he actually set his goal at lasting as many turns as possible because he knew he couldn't win. I admire that type of honest self-appraisal, and I'd like to congratulate him on lasting 25 turns.

the abandon card has to be banned from these tournaments, Enrico used like 6 or 7 in a row against me, meanwhile I had 1 at my disposable, rubbish.

meanwhile I have amassed 6 worthless airlift cards

 Why don't you go back to your home on Attention Whore Island now?

Any FBG's that want to play, my name over there is steelerbill. I am ok, beat the single player games and challenge 1. Played ch2 a few times and didn't get it done.

Would like to play with guys from here, due to all the talk of multi-player games over there being rigged.

later.

Thank clyde, I was finally able to change my name again. No more drunken name changes for me.

Should we try to pair up even teams for this? Something like bostonfred+Justin Case, Humuna+Tick, etc.?
