I know I said points are good earlier today, but that was a mistake.the message for this game is: points are bad.Missed FG =

Missing that field goal was huge. I could hear the air being let out of the Jets helmets. If the Chargers come down and score a TD, the Jets are done for.

Not if the slippery grass has anything to do with it.

I love watching Tomlinson run. We really don't get to see him enough outside San Diego.
Totally agree - he's as smooth and explosive as they come. I've had him on my team since he came into the league, and I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've seen him play on TV.With the team's success this year, I'm sure there will be at least a few Sunday or MNF games next year.

I wondered about giving up the 3rd and 6th rounds picks for McCardell, but all I have to say now is

I'm going to have to invite you over my house and watch the NFL package, I see him every week :D You bye the plane ticket, I'll buy the beer!

tied at the half= not bad for the jets. obviously that FG hurts, but they have played well otherwise. They need to hit a few more passes to open up the running game, but im pretty confident we can hold the chargers's offense in check. Should be a fun 2nd half

I'll tell you what..........Drew Brees might have won comeback player of the year, but he still focuses on his primary receiver the entire time. I keep thinking he's looking one way on purpose and then he's going to turn his head and go to the guy he wants but it's not happening. I'm shocked he's had so much success this year. Marc Bulger ripped this Jets team last week. Brees arm strength is something to be desired as well. He's had a great season and all, but this, the playoffs is where QB's are measured. On the flip side, San Diego's defense doesn'teven look as good as the Jets. I was looking forward to seeing San Diego making a little Cinderella type move in these playoffs but it's turning midnight wayyyyy to early for them.

wow, a little confrontation on the jets sideline. on another note, not the time to get conservative hackett. finish this thing off.

Who do you think will win? New York [ 32 ] [15.69%] San Diego [ 172 ] [84.31%] Total Votes: 204 Could 84.31% of us be wrong????????

Martyball chokes at home again?
With 20 plus second on the clock remaining in the 3rd quarter, on 3rd and a short 1 you think they'd get a play off to get it a 1st down going into the 4th quarter. They'd get a free running play in without the clock continuing to run. That may seem small, but they're down 2 scores and they haven't shown the ability to stop the run or short passes. I'd do every little thing that was in my power, including free running plays to stop the clock.

Someone tell me if I'm seeing things but doesn't Gates looked confused at times, like he doesn't know where he should be before the play starts. Then Madden says now Gates can/will become a dangerous weapon on this Charger offense in the redzone.Well, if that's all he is, let's not compare him to Tony Gonzalez who's used anywhere at anytime on the field.
