Here's a recap of the major news of the week and what we're watching today. Major inactives will be posted as they come in.
**Roy Williams should be back at SS for Cincinnati today. Chinedum Ndukwe may be inactive with a hamstring injury.
**Tavares Gooden will be active this week, but expect Dannell Ellerbee to get the bulk of the base defensive snaps. Jameel McClain may steal some time in both the base and the nickel.
**D'Qwell Jackson didn't practice Thursday or Friday and is doubtful to play. David Veikune should get the bulk of the work in his place, but Kaluka Maiava may also see snaps.
**Kawika Mitchell moves inside to MLB for Buffalo, with Ashlee Palmer moving into the lineup at OLB. Bryan Scott and Donte Whitner are also still out for the Bills.
**Mario Williams was able to get through a limited practice Friday but is questionable and a game-time decision today.
**Darnell Dockett was limited all week and is questionable.
**Gerald Alexander starts at safety again for Jacksonville. Sean Considine remains out with injury, but this job should be Alexander's when Considine returns.
**Patrick Kerney is questionable with a groin injury but is unlikely to play. Darryl Tapp should get more than his usual 60% of the snaps today.
**Craig Dahl is in for James Butler at SS for St. Louis again today.
**Jerod Mayo could be back for New England today. With Junior Seau also about to join the team, Gary Guyton's run as the main every-down ILB will be ending soon.
**Brian Dawkins is dinged with multiple injuries and questionable after only a limited Friday practice this week.
**Chase Blackburn moves over to WLB, likely in an every-down role, this week. Clint Sintim may see more rotational snaps at SLB with Danny Clark.
**DeAndre Levy is an every-down backer this week. Reports suggest that Julian Peterson could play some end this week and that Ernie Sims will see only spot duty.
**Gaines Adams is questionable with an ankle injury. He was limited most of the week in practice.
**Chris Harris should be back at SS for Carolina this week.
