Am looking for a Keeper gem to stash away for next year and it always seems to me that an off-season trade or retirement creates a new Stud somewhere - the question is WHERE?

The only guy I can think of right now is possibly QB Kevin Kolb in Philly (sounds like McNabb will be traded in the off-season)...

Who else?

Would appreciate any thoughts on the topic. Thx.

Pretty difficult to predict offseason trades at this point of the year.

Michael Turner has been discussed for a couple of years

Michael Bush could do well

There are plenty of guys that could be big producers in the right situation.

If it weren't for his injury, Kenny Irons might have been an interesting one.

Michael Bush is a great example, which is why I have had him on my roster all year!

Kenny Irons also a good call. I stashed Chris Perry on my roster 2 years ago hoping for Rudi to finally hang it up but he is still hanging around (barely).

Michael Turner is too high on the radar screen to qualify for what I am looking for.

Any others?

Thanks all.

Michael Turner - Obvious #1 choice for 2008

Musa Smith - Isn't he a UFA next year?

Selvin Young - Of course a lot depends on Henry's suspension. I like Young over Hall.

Anthony Gonzalez - Harrison may hang it up after this year

John Beck - I really like this kid, and it's not like he has a lot of competiton. There will be growing pains due to how bad the Dolphins are.

Kenny Irons for 2009, not 2008.

Jerome Harrison - Has looked better than Wright IMO.

Gary Russell - Just call it a hunch for 2009 and beyond.

Darius Walker - the guy has game.

Chester Taylor - He could get traded in the off-season if the price is right.

Pierre Thomas - I never liked Stecker, and Bush is proving to be better suited to his role before Deuce McAllister's injury.

DeAngelo Williams - If they would ever get rid of Foster

Jerious Norwood - If Dunn retires, which is a distinct possibility.

Antonio Pittman - A must have for Jackson owners IMO.

he fits the bill as our league is a Keeper league where each team can keep a maximum of 2 players. The players count as a Draft Round that is 4 Rounds earlier than where the player was drafted in the year prior. Ginn was drafted in 13th this year and subsequently dropped. So if I pick him up, I can keep him as my 9th round draft pick next year.

Anthony Gonzalez would count as my 6th Round pick if I keep him.

Kellen Clemens would count as my 10th Round pick.

I can only keep one of these guys...

I think Ginn has a very bright future, but you may have to wait another 2 years to see that. Mia is a mess. They need a ton of stability at both QB and the Oline. Hopefully they can get there. WRs are pretty dependent on the team around... being able to get the ball.

How about Aaron Rodgers? Solid during the preseason, Green Bay has some nice young weapons at the WR and RB position, only down side is you never know when or if Favre will retire...
