***NFC Championship Game Thread*** (2 Viewers)

I wouldn't feel too bad bears fans. Your defense is world class and although cutler looks like a pos, hanie could be worth looking into. He showed a lot of poise considering the situation.
 Hanie showed heart and has a solid arm. The Bears D played their heart out. Cutler should hang his head and turn in his playbook, then use his signing bonus to buy another key of Humboldt as he smoked the last of the first one pregame.

Martz is a great offensive coordinator. If you think otherwise, you are just stupid.
 Yeah man, it had nothing to do with Capers stupidity on D. If he keeps the normal D in there that was in vs Cutler and Collins, the Bears get shut out.

my brothers every time the packers play the bears it makes you watch to the bitter end no matter what you can throw out the on paper stuff and just figure it will be a world class battle like the spartans against the wierd looking persian dudes in 300 and that people will say this is madness no this is PACKERS BEARS but i am glad that the packers won and now i will probably go on a walkabout over to iowa to burn off some of this energy before work tomorrow so good on ya mates and also ted thompsen haters you owe him an apology probably best to send a basket of something possibly cheese in honor of our heads my brothers!

YEAH!

As a Bears fan, let me jump in here and say congrats to the Packers on a good game. I was on a timeout, so I wasn't able to participate to the buildup to this. But I'll take my drubbings, and say Congrats. The Packers played really well, and showed they were the better team today.

As for the Bears, Caleb Hanie has 1/10th of the talent of Jay Cutler, but 10x the heart. Putting aside my fandom, I would just have loved to see him take them down the field to score there at the end. Great game, kid.

Hanie looked good when the Bears were down by 14, not so good when they were down by 7. Point being is you cant say he is good because he took advantage of a prevent defense. Doesnt matter who the Bears QB is in the future, unless they fix the Oline and get real NFL WR's, no Qb is going to look very good.

This is the longest sentence ever.

A boatload of people can't see that at all. Nice job by Hanie but let's get real. Capers allowed those TD's with horrible defensive playcalling.

to me it looked like the packers offense guys got cold and then did not catch or throw the ball very well down the stretch but the last time i heard the texas dallas intergalactic super stadium is indoors and heated by the heat of the mega tv that jerry million dollar man jones has welded to the roof and personally i think the pack is better indoors so it will be interesting to see who they play as a result personally i hope its the jets because i still have bed memories of big ben the bell toles rothhamburglar throwning a td in the last minutes to beat us last year so i'd rather face mark stinky sanchez and hpe me makes some second year guy type throws right to charles take it to the woodshed woodson for pick sixeronios my brothers!

Willie Davis. Yeah!
:goodposting: Seriously - told my 11 year old "I watched that guy play his heart out when I was a kid." You couldn't take the smile off his face with a sandblaster. One of the all time greats.
I am one of the few Packer fans in Connecticut, and it all started in elementary school (I am 33). For some reason there was an old NFL book that featured many Packers Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Jim Taylor, Paul Hornung, Willie Davis, and Herb Adderly. I became a fan instantly. Awesome to see Davis in the locker room, he was smiling from ear to ear.

Hey Chicago turn on the AFC Championship Game, that is how the song should be sung. Not some babbling dude grunting it out.

That 3rd down call set Hannie up to fail.
:goodposting: Hard to think of a super bowl team coming in off of a less impressive performance here. Both teams played so bad it made the game interesting
This was a classic Pack Bears game - tight, tough, close to the end. No pack/bear game is impressive in the past 2 years.
Yeah, Packers and Bears haven't been very good the last couple years.
The Packers adn Bears know each other in in many ways are built to beat each other. The D's killed each other.

Hats off to the Pack. Nothing short of impressive what you guys have overcame this year to make it all the way. I would say gl but I hope you take a beating in the Super Bowl. :goodposting:

To the Bears: What a game the defense played. Held the Pack scoreless in the 2nd half and Rodgers to a 55.4 qb rating. Amazing. I can't say enough about what Hanie did. Sure, he made 2 costly mistakes but the guy came into an impossible situation against a phenomenal defense and gave them a chance to win it after the offense had done nothing all game. The kid showed toughness and a ton of heart. If he never plays another down in the NFL, I won't forget about what he did this game. As far as Cutler, he showed himself clearly in this game, leaving the game and not coming back in when he could walk around on the sideline and onto the field after the game without even a noticeable limp. Hell, there wasn't even a visible play where he got hurt. Such an embarrassment to all Bears fans. gg Pack. You deserve it more than we do.

Capers schemes on the last drive were maddening, but the 2 scores were just horrible displays by the players. Arm tackles, just bad play. And that last td was two players (Woodson and Collins) standing around after a catch.

Good luck, Pack. Way to go beating a 3rd stringer in the NFC championship game. Feather in you cheese cap.

Fixed. Everytime his butt cheeks tightened, the Bears drove the field. This is why he can never be allowed to be a HC again.

Hanie still had to make the passes and he made quite a few good ones too. I think saying a coordinator like Capers allowing Caleb Hanie to score 2 touchdowns is a little stretch. No one is saying Hanie is good but he came in and did something that I've never seen a third string qb do and in the NFC Championship game at that. Kid was beyond impressive given the circumstances. It means very little, but I'm proud of him.

I have no idea what you're saying. 13CCP

Not sure why so many people are down on the packers. This team just went on the road and destroyed a damn good falcons team, then went on the road in horrible conditions and pulled out a win against their tough rivals. They have now defeated the #1 and #2 seeds on the road.

#1, #2 and #3 seed on the road. And now they get to play in a dome. Rodgers likes dome games
