I did deserve this tho. And then this morning I wanted to *test* the system so while I was actually sitting here at my desk and in the draft room, I put it on auto with Bowers at the top of my list and McBride 2nd. Just so I would ensure one of them. But I was at 2.11 and proceeded to not take it OFF auto fast enough so when it came back to me it autopicked McBride when really I wanted to go WR there lol. So I'm off to a really impressive start.
He's trying to corner the TE market.
by falling on my sword. "Here lies a really impressive TE start"
I actually think you may have accidentally fallen into an interesting strategy for this format. There are three TE-eligible flex positions and both Bowers and McBride score points like WR1/2 - granted that's assuming last year's production holds, but for McB at least, who you took accidentally, he did that with only scoring 2 TDs. There's meat left on that bone, it seems.
Beyond being able to use
both of them without missing much of a beat in your lineup, you also have the advantage of depth of ultra-premium TE points from your TE spot to cover byes/injuries - and now you've starved the rest of the league from having another big dawg TE to match Bowers.
Lastly, I think you have a greater chance of unearthing gems at WR1/2 and/or RB1/2 later than you do TEs that score like these two. I hope you keep them both as a use case strategy for us to track!
