**NFL in Berlin - Falcons at Colts**(-6.5, 48.5) 9:30am (2 Viewers)

Bijan is just flexible for a dude that big. Jeez.

He got hip dropped earlier and got right up. Lucky. Nobody said anything but it was 97 (?)

Drake is hurt or something. No, he's good. That dude has been fantasy monster.

London went into the blue tent.

Yeah. He probably had a spotter tell him to go. Why was Mooney screwing around like that even if it wasn't . . .

just don't. Don't hurt your guy and don't call attention. Be smart.
It looked like the defender stepped on his foot near the ankle.

I thought it was clavicle then I thought head.

The way the backer landed on him I thought clavicle.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm OK with the Falcons not calling a timeout on the Colts' 3rd and long
Up 14-13, didn't play a great 1st Half but taking the lead into the locker room was huge

I don't agree with Kurt Warner and the booth
Bad things can happen trying to push the lead up for a FG try, only about 30 seconds left and it's not like Dan Marino is the QB for ATL

Falcons did well IMO to get ahead before Halftime

If your DE gets double teamed & another DE gets the sack because of it, it should be points for the dude who drew the double, that sort of thing.

We do QB hits, but this quote is the big one. That and good corners who never get thrown at. Those two things are just removing the biggest part of the modern game. Rush and coverage.

We're tackle-heavy, too, and it's almost like you're lousy (if not an LB or box S) if you make a ton of tackles that aren't for losses. Like, great, someone got beat in coverage and a dude caught the ball on an LB or CB or S that's bad in coverage and we give the bad coverage guy points for the tackle.
Reminds me of DROY 20~25-ish years ago. A lot of ILB and MLBers used to win because they'd get drafted onto bad teams and then blow up with tons of tackles. People finally wised up (and defensive schemes shifted since the run game got less and less important as the passing game took over) to emphasize pass rushers and the occasional corner.

That position is nuked. It's actually (look at the athleticism of the guys) the most cerebral place on the field now. It's weird. You have all these vets who run like 4.6-4.8+ or something and they've got to direct everything and get coverages right and it's strange because you cannot just (besides Schwesinger this year) have an LB and just plug him as your captain unless he's football smart, which generally means smart just as is.

There have been a bunch of guys come out and they try to throw the green dot on them and it just fails miserably. Even off-ball guys don't just come out of college and start. And look at the McVay tree and those orgs won't pay guys at that position and they backfill it.

It's no longer marquee. At all. Roseman, Berry, now Gladstone in Jacksonville not picking up Lloyd's fifth-year, other GMs like Snead . . . they just don't. It's pass rushers and top corners and now DI guys that push and collapse the pocket. But linebackers that aren't EDGEs? Uh uh.

Not watching game...is Sauce on London?

No, a linebacker was on him that throw. 53. I think Sauce got beat once?

There have been two sort of slants or quicker throws and a rollout busted play . . .

Nothing really straight up.
That seems like a not so smart strategy. Maybe they get Sauce on him 2nd half.

No, I mean, that one throw he wasn't, but I think in general he might have been. I couldn't tell because London had four receptions, and one was the LB and one was a scramble that was a bit of a busted play. And then two sort of quicker throws, but no real pattern beat him nor do I even know his Colts' number, so I'm just talking about the touchdown and rollout, which were the big plays. The other two catches went for, like, maybe 17 yards total (?)

(No Huddle, Shotgun) M.Penix pass short left to D.London to IND 38 for 13 yards (G.Pratt).

(Shotgun) M.Penix pass short left to D.London to IND 20 for 13 yards (A.Gardner; Z.Franklin).

Sorry, 26 yards. Both quick hitters, as you can see up top.

eta* First snap they're in bunch and Sauce took London once it was sorted. So you've probably got cat-and-mouse here. They looked like they were lining up trips (I am not cool, okay, but that's the formation) and trying to get lost a bit.

And the position is harder than ever. And maybe we have had a drought. Happened with TE, and we just had a few exciting prospects come out.

Feels like we haven't had a strong LB draft in a lonnng time.

Pitts and London in theory must be such a nice pair of receivers/TE to throw the ball down the field
At times the Falcons offense looks incredible, you wonder how they arrives at 3-5
I point to coaching but that's me
