NFL TE Single Season Yardage and TD Record Holder? (1 Viewer)

Which TE holds the NFL record for yardage in a season (and what was it?) and who holds the record for TDs in a season (what was it?). Thanks.

tried to search Pro-football-reference but I couldn't find a breakdown by position.

I will guess the yardage is Gonzo with just shy of 1300 yards in 04 and Gates with 13 in 05.

I skimmed through the PFR list and I think Kellen Winslow SR is the yardage leader with 1290 yards? Is that correct?

Dave Parks had 1344 receiving yards in 1965.

Gates had 13 TD receptions in 2004.

Those are the best since 1960. Don't know if there are better seasons prior to then.

I found this just by looking at the PFR tight ends page (http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/teindex.htm) and clicking through a dozen or so names most likely to be at the top. So don't consider these gospel or anything.

According to PFR, it's Kellen Winslow for yardage in 1980 with 1290 yards. There are some hybrid TE/HB/WR players ahead of him, but for a true TE, it's him.

Gates in 2004 with 13 td's holds it for most TD's in a season by TE.

Gonzalez in 2004 with 102 receptions.

He was a WR in 1965, according to PFR.
