would be surprised if he left Minnesota, but he could probably make a lot more if the Sabres come calling. I think finding a goalie is their top priority and he's a better fit for them than a guy like Niemi or Nuevirth.Rumors have Dubnyk seeking 5m+/year.
they better be sure they can get more. That is a dangerous game of chicken if they arent.Rumors have Dubnyk seeking 5m+/year.

Half to full day. Depending on how into it you are.We are in early stages of talking about a possible summer trip to the hockey hall of fame. For those that have been there, is it a full day, half day or multi day

Half. I was a little disappointed there wasn't more on the individual hall of famers. The great hall is pretty fuuuucking awesome. We are in early stages of talking about a possible summer trip to the hockey hall of fame. For those that have been there, is it a full day, half day or multi day
HOF is awesome. 1/2 day probably. We are in early stages of talking about a possible summer trip to the hockey hall of fame. For those that have been there, is it a full day, half day or multi day
I just saw two 2nds reported, not both in this draft which made me think one could be conditional based on Talbot re-signing. Either way, there's no real reason to jump on anything just yet. And even if that was the offer, they aren't really looking to load up prospect depth with the return. The goal is to turn Talbot into a roster forward for this season, either in a direct deal or more of a three way trade.they better be sure they can get more. That is a dangerous game of chicken if they arent.Rumors have Dubnyk seeking 5m+/year.

Sounds like they have a pretty nice bidding war going on, they can probably wait it out and get close to what they want.ETA: I'm seeing Yandle's name pop up here and there, I know he didn't look great but did they sour on him that fast?Thank you for all the replies.
Thought it was two seconds this year. Im not sure they can get a player that can contribute but you never know.
So close to getting it right.McKenzie: Coaches' challenge on goalie interference/offside goals - with on ice officials reviewing own work at p box monitor - coming, pending B of G
Based on what the Rangers paid up for Yandle, the Rangers probably think they should get a 1st and 2nd for Talbot.Rumors have Dubnyk seeking 5m+/year.

But at the same time? That's what the Pens really need.no way, crazy!

Trade value just went up.Cam Talbot got a vote for the Vezina.

I know this has been discussed here ad nauseum, but Karlsson winning the Norris Trophy as "best defenseman" is pretty absurd.
Can't really argue any of the other winners.
Totally agree with Brasky here. This award is for offensive output with a touch of defense and really has nothing to do with who is the best defenseman.no it's not.Dickie Dunn said:Nothing on the NHL Awards tonight?

Sabres should be flirting with a playoff spot until then. Then hopefully another sell off to try and land Matthews.Wild play Buffalo in game 43 again. nice to know that they can #### around for the first 42 games for the third season in a row.
That's the point ... which we've debated here in the past ... that it doesn't really reward the guys who are great defensemen. I agree, Karlsson is much better than he was when he won it in 2012 and he's a tremendous puck mover and possession guy, which is a form of defense in and of itself. But the "time on ice" stats are pretty telling -- among the top-10 defensemen overall, Karlsson is the overwhelming leader in PP time/G (4:48) but so far behind the others in shorthanded time on ice (0:34 ... Suter is next closest at 2:03) that it's comical.well, he's a decent defensive defenseman now tooTotally agree with Brasky here. This award is for offensive output with a touch of defense and really has nothing to do with who is the best defenseman.no it's not.Dickie Dunn said:Nothing on the NHL Awards tonight?

Would love to see a Rod Langway award given out every year for just that, long overdue IMO.That's the point ... which we've debated here in the past ... that it doesn't really reward the guys who are great defensemen. I know we see the game differently, and that's fine. It just seems the truly great lockdown defensemen always get the shaft, that's all.
Should we have given the Vezina to Damian Rhodes or Mike Smith in the past because they scored a goal?
could have possibly won it in back to back years if he stayed healthy.Giordano probably wins it going away if he didn't get hurt mid-season.
The Wings will kick the tires, especially since his is a righty.I'm really curious to see what Mike Green lands on the open market.Caps will not be bringing him back(along with Fehr)from the recent reports.
Should have plenty of teams interested in him given his PP work and offensive creativity.

Karlsson is one of the most dynamic, game changing D men in the game and is a legitimate top pairing defender that you can match against any top line. And he definitely had a season worthy of it. Plenty of legitimate complaints his first time around, but he's a complete player now. That's the point ... which we've debated here in the past ... that it doesn't really reward the guys who are great defensemen. Hedman IMOKnowing that age is a consideration ... if you were starting a franchise today, would Karlsson be the first D you take?
Doughty without a doubt.Knowing that age is a consideration ... if you were starting a franchise today, would Karlsson be the first D you take?
considering age, probably Subban, but Doughty, Karlsson, and OEL are all close.Knowing that age is a consideration ... if you were starting a franchise today, would Karlsson be the first D you take?

throw Pietrangelo, Hedman, and Carlson just below that. maybe Ekblad too.
Watching him in his own end is like taking a chance with a wet fart. I hope they pay him the $5 mil a year he wants, that would be deliciousLet the games begin!!!! Avs start things off:
Avs acquire Soderberg's rights for a 6th rounder. Fueling speculation that if/when he signs with them, ROR trade will follow shortly thereafter.
