Game 2 Bolts-Panthers looks to be just as interesting as Game 1 was. It’s been some time since I was really excited for a genuine rivalry in a playoff series, and this could be one for the ages.

@PensInsideScoop: Coach Sullivan said Casey DeSmith did not skate today and he will not play tonight.

Brian Dumoulin and Evgeni Malkin are both taking part in the optional skate, and will be game-time decisions. Geno was working on his own with skills coach Ty Hennes prior to the session.

So if Jarry gets torched high glove side again, only in game option is Maxime Lagace.

And Dumoulin is a really underrated part of the Penguins defense. He's the steady two way player that allows Letang to cheat at times.

Canucks strike back to even the series - tomorrow they play the Flames for all the marbles!!!!* :excited:

Jeff Carter just yelled across the bench to #Isles Barry Trotz: “I didn’t even get started yet you neckless turtle.  I ain’t even drunk yet.”

Incredible.

Cat’s in a big 0-2 hole. Two must win road games coming up or it is lights out just like that. The Lightning showing why they were the Cup Champs. Out playing the Panthers in every phase of the game.

The Bolts are playing very well, though certainly not perfectly. Too many giveaways, and they still haven’t figured out how to clear the zone on the first try(middle of the ice maybe, especially if the opponents are along the boards?), but they absolutely cannot let Florida back into the series. They are playoff tested and battle hardened, and they know what it takes to win.

Is going from no fans to half (or even full) capacity going to noticeably affect any of the Canadian teams?

Tough ending for Samsonov. Had a great game, but only takes one mistake
I'm still not convinced that was 100% his mistake vs. Schultz's...Not familiar with how they communicate that sort of thing, but Schultz had a step on him, and then just veered right instead of going behind the goal.

I'm not sure either, but if I were to design a comm. system it would be

Command-->Confirm-->Act

I would assume goalie is commander there.  If Samsonov is sending a command and then skates away assuming it gets done, it's either a bad system or on him.  He also has to know that 'when in doubt, send the puck up the boards' always applies.  He gets at least half the blame, but possibly not too much more
