AFAIK he didn't rest any skaters.  

My point is similar to yours though, even if MAF is fresh for Game 2, the rest of team isn't and now you're in a hole.

Personally I’m a big believer in “play your best players in the playoffs”.

Bolts take Game 1, 2-1, but some sloppy play by them. They can’t give Carolina extra chances when they're dangerous enough on their own.

Ned can't make that mistake.  Canes can't gift goals or its a short series.

Not like starting Fleury would have made a huge difference, but not starting him does seem odd. 

Reaves is a POS and deserves a long suspension for that crap, but don't ask me to feel sorry for Graves, who was the perpetrator of a major cheap shot on a Golden Knight earlier in the game.  This is what happens when the league keeps tapping these guys lightly on the wrist for dirty infractions. Players feel they can get away with more stuff.  Don't get me wrong, I like physical play, and last night should result in a fun, spirited series with some hate going in both directions, but I just hate seeing players intentionally trying to injure others.

That leafs loss also stripped us of a rare, cool conference final like Boston/Colorado and instead we’ll get Bos/NYI v Tampa/Car and Colorado likely getting Winnipeg. Same East/west as every year.
