Ok, a split is not bad. Let's see if the decision to hold Cain until Gm 3 pays off.Hamels has been lights out lately so it might be tough. Who are the Phillies running out there in Game 4?
Roy "Doc" Halladay would be my guess.
Manuel said Blanton in game 4
Blanton vs. Bumgarner will be an interesting matchup to say the least.
I'm going to say it would be a huge mistake if they don't start Halladay.

No it won't, especially if the Phils win game 3.

A few notes.

Oswalt blowing the stop sign and scoring was hilarious AND awesome at the same time, place went nuts.

When Manuel came out and left Oswalt in to finish the 8th, that was great, evryone started cheering and lit up.

SF is a tough team, they hit the ball hard last night, and defense to me is what won the game for the Phils, they made a lot of tough plays to make outs. Both pitchers last night were throwing good games.

Victorino's catch was ridiculous, yes he over ran the ball but man he made up a ton of ground to get to that ball.

Question - since there are no replays, in the first Polanco reached on an error, Fontenot was credited with the error as it looked like Huff and to reach to keep the bag but it looked like Huff just dropped it OR Polanco kicked the glove. Can anyone tell me what happened?

If the Phils win GAME 3 I pitch Blanton if they lose I consider Holliday

Ball glanced off Huff's glove and hit Polanco's leg. Huff was trying to hold the bag and catch the ball but the throw was too wide and he did neither.

I hate the intentional walk.

This series is probably going to take a couple of years off my life - it was almost a relief when the Phils blew the game open so I could relax about the outcome.

Hope Uribe's wrist gets better by tomorrow. I'd like to see an infield of Uribe, Rentaria, Sanchez, and Huff against Hamels. I also think Sandoval's AB last night earned him a start in game 4 against a RH pitcher.

Sandoval is historically a much better hitter at home. If Fontenot isn't going to make the plays at third, Pablo could provide more pop, especially if Uribe isn't in the lineup.

 I know Oswalt and Halliday are studs, and ATL's pitching was excellent too...but somebody besides Ross/Buster is due to start hitting....right?

Have Eagles tix for Sunday, thinking of pulling an Eagles / Phils doubleheader.
Game on, got 2 in the front row of 147. :lmao: Look for me in Left Center in Game 2.

I'll prob be accidentally interfering with a key HR that screws the Phils.
Great day, HERE are some pics including one of my TV when I was on for a few secs for Ryan Howard's ground rule double that landed about 10-15 seats to our right.

Wonder if they'll start Rowand against Hamels and give Torres a mental day off. He is looking lost at the plate right now.

You can say that about a few guys other than just Torres, and from both dugouts. But considering the pitchers they're facing, what can you do?

:2cents: Traffic was not too bad coming in at 5. Going home was as expected. Nice pics.

anybody know where i can stream today's game? ;)
the only links I've seen use Streamtorrent which your IT guys may not like
Thanks. I miss KNBR some days....
Came in to ask the same thing.Have spent the last 20 minutes searching around.Looks like MLB has really cracked down on pirated stations.
Found a free live video stream of the Fox broadcast. No software download needed.-http://livetv.ru/webplayer.php?t=webcaston&c=sports365tt〈=en&eid=56993&lid=44258&ci=14&si=19:thumbdown:

Ibanez should be out the rest of the series- terrible.. o-fer 15? or something like that, and missed Burrell's "double" in game one that basically cost them the game.. Halladay wasn't the same after that.. ball should have been caught..

Ben Franciso should play left for the rest of the series..

I was worried the phils after being on fire in september would cool off at a bad time. They look horrible at the plate. And ujtley had a bad game. Hats off to sf for playing good ball thus far.

:2cents: that too.. my last post came off as a little bitter and not giving the Giants credit.. good teams take advantage of mistakes (see Phillies vs Reds game 2)...

This series is going to 7 and we'll be seeing a Hamels/Cain matchup.......................

Well, that was disappointing.

The pitchings been pretty good but we've gotta start hitting.

I haven't been on Rollins or Utley yet but Raul should have been swapped for Francisco back in Game 2 and probably should be for now maybe at the very least vs Lefties.

Not feeling too confident right now. That game 1 was really a killer. If you tell me we have Halladay pitching against Lincecum and we will score 3 runs, I'll probably take that every time.

Not happy with Blanton tonight, but you know Cole can't pitch on short rest, so Blanton's going to have to get in there somewhere.

Just praying that we score some runs.

Madison Bumgarner is hot right now. Let's hope he keeps it up. His September ERA was about 1.3, or something similarly ridiculous. His last start against Atlanta was strong too, six innings, two earned runs.

Two WPs all year and he throws two in a freakin inning. Are you kidding me?
