No Let Down Tonight (1 Viewer)

The Giants look like solid favorites tonight as they head to Cleveland to battle the Browns. Danny Sheridan currently has the Giants as 7.5 point favorites with an over under of 43. Anybody see the Giants and under?

Bumping this with a revised thread title.

I have the feeling that the Superbowl champs are going to lay a major whipping on the Browns tonight. The dawgs will be crying in the pound tonight.

I often have to miss watching SNF and MNF due to commitments. However, tonight's commitment was cancelled and I can finally watch a MNF game. Therefore, I expect the game to be scoreless until someone kicks a field goal in the 3rd quarter and that team wins 3-0.

PUNT-FEST.

Wow, pretty bold prediction. Way to go out on a limb there Nostradamus.

In the interests of playing Nostradamus' advocate, I say the Browns cover the spread (+8), keep it close, AND cover the over (44 points) by the end of the third quarter. Tis going to be a shoot-out, I say.

Step #1 for watching MNF. Turn the sound down....way down

Wouldn't touch the o/u, but I expect Cleveland to cover. +8 at home on MNF after coming off a bye...I don't care who it is, give them to me.

If this Giants don't blow this team out I will be extremely mad. None of this let down play down to the competition stuff. This game better be 27-3 at halftime with a final score around 42-10.

I except The Beast to get at least 100 yards and run over at least 5 or 6 LB's on his way to a 3-4 TD game and Eli to lead drive after drive after drive to points. I also expect another bloodied QB for the opposing team at the hands of the D-line.

This better be an all around beat down.

(And now that I've gotten all my homer out, I'm happy with a win and no injuries.)

You are all in for a shocker tonight. Jacobs will be shut down by the Browns defensive line. Eli is not a very good Qb, and the Browns crave on Plexiglass.

Tonight you will see the Brady Quinn era begin. The guy has his own commercial, and he finally will see playing time. His weapons of Stallworth and Edwards will lead him to 3 TDs. Jerome Harrison will catch 8 passes and rush for an additional 60. This is the game where everyone starts to say the Browns are Super Bowl contenders!

The Browns are going to get up for this game. It will be their last hurrah before slowly fizzling out the rest of the season. I expect a close game that comes down to the wire and everyone later talks about how close the Browns came to stealing one.

28-24 NY football Giants

I think Anderson has a horrible game and the Brady Quinn era begins next week.

I think it will begin tonight!
see, I don't think they wanna get him beaten up. If Derek is, and the plan is to move on-they're probably losing too, why bother? To this day, I still think replacing Bernie with Vinnie is the hardest I have ever "seen a city" take a starter switch. I know some Browns fans have come around that maybe BB was right and it was time but, some are still bitter this many years later. It's not so much like a fan's reaction. It's more like a Dad upset his son got benched. Very odd to still be bitter.

If I'm Romeo and Phil, the way their season is going, the time is about right anyway, why not be a little worried about how the fans will react and do it right now during a national TV game where Derek stinks? (assuming so) It fits anyway, grab the perfect scenario while ya got it.

I don't do this often but shucks... :excited:

Interesting how there were a wide variety of opinions on this game, yet every single one of you had it wrong.

OMG somebody made a sports-related prediction and it didn't come true! Let's use our 20/20 hindsight and kick his butt!

Honestly, I don't know why anyone gambles real money on sports. Anything can happen. The Browns didn't even look like they were upsetting anyone. They looked like the better team.

Nice game for the Browns, they looked really good (except for the penalties).

On the other side of the coin the Giants looked as lethargic as I've seen a team in a long time. They obviously expected to win just by showing up but you would think they would have woken up in the second half. Their lack of clock management in the 4th quarter was pitiful.

It's called busting some balls. Guys have a tendency to do it sometimes. But props to him for coming and taking his licks -- its not like they were actual licks since this is the Internet, but props none-the-less.
