No3 pick dynasty draft (1 Viewer)

Who do you think would be best pick from this spot? I assume here that LT and S.Jackson will be no1 and no2. Is LJ best option, or one of young RBs (Addai, Gore, W.Parker?). BTW it's PPR league.

What about Reggie Bush? He could be monster in PPR leagues, and since this is dynasty, he has great value. I don't see him having more productive year that LJ, but in the future I think his upside is much better that LJ. Any thoughts?

With the LJ situation as it is currently, I go with Gore or FWP. If LJ gets his butt into camp in the next day or two and it's your pick, I go with LJ at that point.

do you feel better w/ LJ, @ 28 yrs old and coming off of 826 touches in two seasons, with major question marks @ QB and O-line, or a 24 yr old stud RB coming into an offense which has been and will continue to be the premier O in the league?

IMO, Addai is the only RB (outside of SJ) with youth, no injury history, and will be playing in a prime offense for years to come. Consider - last year in RBBC, the Colts RB tandem put up 1722 rushing yards, 576 receiving yards, and 76 catches.

LJ, on the other hand, is about to see the beginning of the end. While his stats are pretty comparable with what the colts did as a team, I don't believe he can repeat that performance. I simply think there are too many question marks around LJ. He may put up another good year; he may suddenly become average.

I just don't think he's that talented of a back. His value has skyrocketed based almost solely on situation. But I don't think he's a special back. I think he has the 4th most talent to come out last year's draft at the RB position, with Bush, Maroney, and Jones-Drew all possessing better skills, IMO.I'd still put him in the 6-8 range, partly because of his situation in that offense. I just don't think he belongs in the top 3.Personally, I rank them this way in dynasty:LTSJGoreLJFWPBushWestbrookAddai

I say Addai and it's not really that close.
Addai only has 4 seasons left with the Colts. Then he will probably go to a bad team like Edge and you will be stuck with him. This pick is Bush, easily.

Since this is the NFL and nothing is for certain, I tend to rank the current year fairly heavily in dynasty. I think LJ is still the #3. He has relatively low miles for his age and is going to be a force for the next 3 years most likely. Peyton will be 34 by then and Addai's contract will be nearing an end.

The only other player I'd consider would be Bush since we're talking PPR. He'll be top 10 in PPR leagues for the next 5 years at least (barring injury). LJ should be top 5 for the next 2 and maybe top 10 for a year or two after that.

I see Addai as a PPR friendly version of Rudi Johnson. Top 10 for the next four years or so. After that.....who knows. Also, his value is directly tied to Peyton and so you not only have the risk of injury to himself, but to Manning as well (which is still pretty safe).

I'd rank them #1 LJ, #2 Bush & #3 Addai. If you like to look longer term, then Bush would be solid as well.

Why is FBG so down on Addai? 14th in dynasty rankings??

Even using the adjusted average to throw out Pasquino still leaves him down at 11th. What are they basing this on?

The fact that the Colts will not resign him. Which means he could easily end up like Edge after he leaves the Colts

Good info annyong. My league has a new rule where you keep your first round selection for 3 years. I've been trying to go off dynasty rankings for that, but obviously in cases like Addai that's an imperfect method.

I dunno...I don't like to look that far in the future. 3 years as as far as I'm willing to go right now, when thinking about dynasty. A lot can happen between now and then - i think Addai should be the safe play considering a 3 year time frame.

So do you know how Addai will do when he has to actually carry the load himself? He does not have the physical attributes that LJ does. Add to that the Colts just lost their best OL .... say what you want, but these things matter. Stop drafting based on situation and look at talent levels too. Addai is so over-rated it is not even funny. Once Marvin Harrison retires or starts getting less productive in a couple of years, this O will not be that great. And Manning will look very human once that starts happening.

Who cares if Addai isn't the most talented rb in the league? It's hard to argue he's not in one of the better positions and that doesn't look to be changing anytime soon.

Bush Talent >>>>> Addai Talent

Addai Offense > that Bush Offense

I would take Bush in a dynasty. The guy is going to be a stud.
