Notable CUTS - 2024 (2 Viewers)

RB DeWayne McBride
I was in a $350 entry FFPC draft a week or so ago and someone drafted him in the 8th round. Was easily the most bizarre pick I’ve seen this off-season and I’ve been drafting since January.
holy crap that's bad.

I've seen a few bad NFFC drafts but not Dwayne McBride in the 8th bad.
No joke ya'll but someone but Dewayne McBride was drafted again in this same $350 contest. This time I was not in the league but can see ADP data and someone pulled him in the last two days at pick 10.3.
For sure it's people thinking they're getting a steal on the AZ TE.
I’m not so sure because honestly the only thing that might be worse then drafting DeWayne McBride is actually thinking that’s Trey McBride and like not drafting him before rd 8 or 10 in a TEP format.
Yeah, I’ve done 2 NFFC rotowire online champ drafts so far and McBride has lasted past the 5th in none of them.

Anyone thinking McBride would make it to the 8th or 10th shouldn’t be playing in a high stakes format.

But then, see my topic about the dude who took 8 RB in the 1st 12 rounds. People do weird sh*t. lol

Browns are putting Jameis Winston on the trade block
WOW, very interesting here, I had thought he might take the job or he just a headache?
very confusing because isn't Winston a great teammate and very supportive of Watson?
Seems like it.

I sure wish Winston would get another shot and have a coach willing to live with the mistakes but I guess that's easy to say when it's not my job on the line.

Browns want to keep Dorian Thompson-Robinson and now have 4 QBs. He probably offers the most in return.
If DTR is going to be the backup, I may need to bump Cooper down in my pre-draft rankings. If Watson goes down again, I want no part of that passing game.

NE QB Bailey Zappe

The end of a (weird) era

I wish it never started…
Maybe . . . maybe not. Could end up on the NE practice squad if he doesn't sign anywhere else. Not sure he would want to go that route again.

Wouldn’t be surprised but the word on him is he thinks he can start (and can be a bit of a pain) and with Maye there he has no chance unless the Pats decide they are not playing Maye this year which seems unlikely.

I was reading it more as they like him as QB3. Browns didn't want to risk losing him. They have Winston and Huntley on the roster still and one needs to go as they can't carry 4 QBs.

right....so many of these games anymore are one score games......turnovers are often the game changing difference maker...

We'll have to see how everything shakes out, but if Brissett were to be more injured than they are letting on (or gets hurt early in the season), then they could opt to play Zappe over Maye or Milton. Zappe has an inflated sense of his value and capabilities, and I doubt anyone will entertain him competing to be a starter anywhere. His options will likely be consideration for a 2nd or 3rd string spot somewhere or come back to NE on the PS. If no other team is that interested, some money is better than no money. And that's if the Pats even want him back.

Interesting, we already talked about Noah Brown being cut by the Texans. They also cut the fullback Heck (combined $5M+ cap hit).

Appears the UDFA stand out British Brooks has made the team as a fullback/H-back. The team also apparently visualizes Cade Stover more in this role than at regular TE for now too. That might be an interesting wrinkle for dynasty folks when they wonder why so many TEs could be kept on the roster.

Desmond Ridder by the Cardinals

Dang.....that 2022 draft class for QBs is wild, man. The top QBs taken (Pickett and Ridder) didn't pan out at all for the teams that drafted them and Ridder might be out of the league altogether soon. Malik Willis is hanging on by a thread, Matt Corral has been passed around like a doobie at a Phish show and Bailey Zappe just got turfed in New England. Sam Howell is on a new team and was probably the best worst QB I've ever seen play. And then.......you go allllllll the way down to Brock Purdy.

Unreal. These GMs get paid more than us, boys. Incredible how bad they were this year.

IMO, 2021 was worse. Lawrence has been ok, but the others? Wilson, Lance, Fields, Jones, Trask, Mond, Mills. Those guys were all taken in the first 67 picks.

Feels like maybe Covid really screwed things up for everybody.

Steelers made the mistake reaching for a QB in round 1 that was not worthy of a pick -- even if "most NFL ready" (NOT). The other spots these guys were drafted probably worth the gamble? I assume some guys stayed in school to improve their stock after weird covid season,

Not sure about this one...

The #Bengals have waived DE Myles Murphy, per sources. #NFL
If so, WOW

Doesn’t make sense because they could have put him on IR. He is out 4-6 weeks. Unless I am missing something,

He corrected it.

Apologies for the erroneous Myles Murphy tweet.

He hasn’t been released (to my knowledge). Was the wrong Murphy. Inexcusable on my part, but I own it.

WAS RB Chris Rodriguez

Thought he showed a bit last year, but guess that was with another coaching regime.

Brian Robinson may have a huge workload, even with Ekeler.

He's been a steal the entire time.
Have him in 14 of my 22 leagues so far. I think he can approach top 10 numbers. RG3 made Alfred Morris (a jag by most people's metrics) a 1400 yard double digit TD RB. I think Daniels & Robinson have higher ceilings than RG3 & Morris. Consider me excited and hopeful he's a league winner!
