I was wracking my addled brain knowing it wasn’t a “cookie” but didn’t know what to call it. I’m struggling in this draft so far.

I do like ice cream sandwiches, always have. I was novel when novel wasn’t cool (although not being cool is part of the lure of novelty).

1.ee - Orange Creamsicle/Dreamsicle (Frozen Novelty)

I'm not a huge chocolate fan, especially the somewhat dubious chocolate that's in most frozen novelties. I've always prefered creamsicles. I vaguely remember there being other flavors in my childhood but it seems like only the orange ones survived. That's definitely survival of the fittest because orange are the best.

They're more about more orange the color than orange the fruit. Orange creamsicle flavor lacks the tartness of citrus but it combines for a sweet, fragrant and creamy perfetoin after the somewhat dubious ice cream gets injected inside. A lot of frozen novelties are more about the form than the flavor but creamsicles have a distinct flavor all their own.

Did you know the difference between a creamsicle and a dreamsicle is that the latter uses ice milk? Is ice milk even a thing anymore? I thought that term went out with oleomargarine.
