I've been watching football for 35 years. Other than Barry Sanders, Peterson is the best I've ever seen. He's got it all - speed, power, vision, moves... If he stays healthy the sky's the limit.

Oh my goodness. Another 50 yard TD. Almost 8 minutes left and he's got 250 yards. NFL record today???

I saw plenty of Sanders. Peterson is better.
You know what? As far-fetched as that may sound, it's really not that far-fetched. As far as physical tools are concerned, I can't remember a back not named Bo Jackson with that kind of physical talent.

Its not august 2008 just just yet. Lets see if the rookie can handle 25-30 carries a game a full 16 games. lol Hey odds are he can, and odds are he wont get injured, but hey someone has to say it. (and im an AP owner) TY FBG for giving me the foresight to snap him up ahead of his ADP.

Next year will be nice since there'll actually be a controversy as to who the #1 pick is. LT has been the no question first pick for a while now.

This is absolutely incorrect. This year was the first that LT was the consensus #1 pick.

Only three I can see with an argument based on these 9 weeks into the season are AP, LT and Addai.
I'm not really a fan of QB's in the first, but if you're basing it on the first 9 weeks, you have to put Brady in the discussion. He is absolutely crushing every other QB in a lot of leagues.

So last week, AD was better then LT (soon to be HOF RB).

This week, he's better then Barry Sanders.

By next week, AD will be the greatest NFL player ever.

Yep, he's also got 7 broken collarbones. 3 reconstructed skulls, and 9 joints held together by duct tape.Peterson in 2008 = Frank Gore in 2007.

Didn't Madden already crown Favre the greatest player to ever wear a cup?Speaking of Madden, AD = front-runner for the 2009 cover? If so, then all I can say is .... Break the curse! Break the curse!

sensationalize much?

Even as a long-time. keeper-league owner of LT, if I had to have a guy starting next year, I might choose Peterson.

What makes Peterson's numbers and performance even more spectacular is the lack of any kind of offense around him. Kind of reminds me of, yes, LT in his early years. Imagine if they get some decent QB and WR play around AP.

Truth. The year before, Shaun Alexander was coming off of his TD-record season, and there was a lot of debate between LT, SAlex, and LJ (who was a beast in the last 8 games) for the #1 overall.Anyway, I'm pretty surprised that Westbrook never gets mentioned as a possible top-3 pick. Coming into this week, Westbrook was the 4th ranked RB... which is pretty impressive for someone who had only played 6 games (while some of his peers had 8 games under their belts). His per-game numbers are always off-the-charts good, and while he has the injury-prone label, he's actually only missed only about a game a year to injury, on average. The average RB misses more than that. I'd rather have 15 games of Westbrook than 16 games of pretty much anyone else, PPR or no PPR. If he keeps up this pace, I'd have to think long and hard about taking him with the #1 overall in PPR leagues.

I think it is just because Westbrook makes it onto the injury list every year. A few GTD and all of a sudden the injury prone label is stuck and is hard to shake off.

What if you have Tomlinson and ADP and the #1 overall pick in 2008? THEN WHO DO I PICK?
Pick a new league. One with more than seven other teams.
:thumbup:As if it's totally impossible for someone to have pulled off a Tomlinson/Peterson combo in a good keeper/dynasty league with more than 8 teams. Give me a break.
Happened in my 16-team contract league. Tomlinson was back in the draft pool after his rookie contract, and we have a 2-round rookie-only draft before the vets are available. Same guy had rookie #2 and veteran #1 picks (Megatron went 1.01)

I have 3 dynasty teams where I own AP. My future looks so bright thanks to AP, I have to wear shades

Team 1: AP, Gore, Portis, L.White

Team 2: AP, Bush, MJD, Rudi

Team 3: AP, Bush

I suppose an argument could be made for Brady early like Warner years ago

You're not really this naive, are you? LoL. Exagerration, and collar bones = non-recurring and non-career threatening injuries. If there's a single bone I'd LIKE a RB to break if I had to choose aside from hand/forearm-bones, it would be the collar bone.
