*** NY Giants vs Dallas Cowboys game thread*** (1 Viewer)

The Cowboys lost the turnover battle -4. You don't win football games when you lose the turnover battle by 4 and get zero sacks on top of it. It was amazing they were as close as it was.

I didn't see any SB teams playing here tonight.

Gratz to the Giants and their fans on the win.

Romo is the Horror. He can bring the team back from a deficit and he can give away a lead as well as anyone in the league. Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is what we have to deal with with him at QB and we will never know when he is about to change. What an _____! Fill in the blank.

How does anyone take Wade seriously? lol
Find me one person that does.
As long as Jerry undermines his head coach, the inmates will continue to run the asylum and the Cowboys won't be back at the big dance. In fairness, Romo was just terrible tonight. Undisciplined D and turnovers made a coaching staff that had people in the right position most of the game lose this game.
That was kinda my point. Nobody takes Wade seriously.

This is what it is like to have the Brett Favre gunslinger type QB. He will set up wins and give away wins.

I still have no idea why the Cowboys kept dialing up the long bombs when the running game was dominating. Romo was obviously off tonight yet they kept dialing up the big bombs. Romo was awful against the Bucs too, the stat line didnt show it because there were a couple of lucky throws. He has been throwing the ball too high since the preseason. Not sure what is going on with that.

I also dont understand what was going on with the defense. It was absolutely pathetic. No pressure on the QB.

Why were there no timeouts called to save some time on that last drive?

WOW!

Glad the Giants pulled it out. Too bad Tuck got hurt. Hope he isn't out long

Giants need to work on that redzone offense

LOL. Dallas absolutely beat the Giants to a pulp. They dominated both LOS...& that usually means a win. That said, it's about the scoreboard. It's the only thing that really matters. :pickle:

This loss falls SQUARELY on Romo and Scandrick. Both had atrociously bad games. Tough loss to swallow, tbh. Dallas can look so good too. Just brutal.

Four Reasons Dallas lost tonight:

1. Tony Romo, this game would have been totally different had Romo not turned the ball over so many times

2. Orlando Scandrick move him back to the nickel corner and stop screwing around, Wade needs to learn to be decisive he doesnt want to hurt someones feeling so he does this rotating BS, how many teams in the league do this? Zero

3. Flozell Adams, we all we know he is good for at least one penalty and it could have not came at a worse time.

4. Bobby Carp your on the field for only about 20 snaps but yet you still mention to get your name called and not for anything good. 3rd and long and you hold your man giving the Giants a first down that leads to about 50 yards of field position change.

Tough loss watching this game especially on the last drive I just knew the Giants were going to score. I have to admit that I was very skeptical of the Giants ability to move the ball offensively but they really showed something tonight. And I am stunned that the Dallas defense couldnt get at least one sack. To go from leading the league in sacks to not recording a sack through the first two games is unbelievable.

On a positive note this is only Week 2 so this loss while painful is not the end of the world.

:( As a Cowboys fan I would not feel good about winning tonight had it turned out that way. It would have been just like the BUF game. Too many mistakes means you lose. The question is will they get better as a team and will Romo freaking learn?

I think the Giant running game will get better as the season goes on, I think the team is showing they can beat you with the pass if you stack the box.

Dallas D-line didn't win vs. Giants Oline. They only had a handful of pressures and didn't get a sack. Sure they stopped the run, but the line didn't do much to help their secondary.

I thought both teams played a great game. Eli looked really good and I liked seeing some of the young WRs step up.

You have to give Romo credit. In the post game interview, he totally took responsibility for the loss, saying it was his fault. You don't always see that kind of accountability.

I never, EVER like to see an injury, & I hope Barber is OK, but Felix could run wild behind that OL. I'm talking HUGE numbers (even in a rotation with Choice). Again, I hope Barber is OK, but I believe this could actually help Dallas. As good as Barber is, Felix is better, IMO.
Seemed like Felix was a complete no factor in the 1st half, but the Cowboys were hanging in there because of who? Wasn't Felix, that's for sure. He had a long run late in the game, cool. He is not the same back as MB III and he has shown that repeatedly the past 18 months.

50 more total yards and 4 less turnovers ... I hope the gints get beat to a pulp every week.

The NFC should be very afraid...The Giants have some receivers stepping up and making plays. Their running game will come around, and they will shore up the run defense, too. And when it does, the Giants will likely emerge as the top contender in the NFC. Even on a night where their run defense got torched, they still forced 4 huge turnovers to help them win. This team is only going to get better.

He does this all of the time, because it usually is his fault. I'll give him credit for that but not much else.

In many ways he's better than Barber. Does he run as tough as Barber, no, but Barber needs to run that tough, because he's not going to juke the socks off anyone, nor outrun them. Last night, while limited with a thigh injury, Felix was still more explosive than Barber.

Now you say he's proven over 18 months to not be the same... when has he had the opportunity?

You act like Barber's 10 touches in the first half were the reason the Cowboys were winning... that's silly.

And you can tell you didn't even watch the game... Jones had 2 long runs, one to open the second half, and one later in the game. He was also the player to put the Cowboys in position to win, scoring their last TD - because Barber couldn't run it in as he went down with an injury on only 14 carries.

If you want to use ridiculous statements I can too LOL

Why is the secondary getting burned by these second rate receivers?
Because you have 3rd rate DBs
You are talking about Terance Newman? Even a Giants homer cant be that dumb. :lmao:
I'm as dumb as a respected Dallas homer ;) http://insidecorner.dmagazine.com/2009/09/...-31/#more-16628

* Terrence Newman was being picked on last night. And Orlando Scanrick was, too. Come to think of it, Mike Jenkins might have had the best night of the trio (despite that horrible technique on the 3rd and 3 on the final drive). The theory of Newman being an elite “shut-down” corner might be difficult to support these days. I think he is very valuable to have, mind you, but I don’t think teams work their game plans around him. In fact, I know it. By the way, that was a clear pass interference in my book. Newman is not making any sort of play for the ball, while Smith is trying to make a catch and is impeded by Newman. Scandrick was disappointing to me in his starting role, as the Giants softened him up badly with some quick outs to Manningham and made Scandrick prove he could tackle at the line. We saw how well that worked out. He will compete hard, but he looked over-matched last night.
