***Official 2008 NFL Draft Thread*** (2 Viewers)

King Dunlap to the Eagles. He's an interesting talent at LT.

At this point I would rather not be drafted so I could pick my own team to try out for. Not that I expected to be drafted.

Chauncey Washington a Jaguar. Fantasy value dead. dorman until 2010.
Fixed.Fred Taylor's done in 2 years, max. Then Chauncey becomes Fred Taylor - at least in role.
I was harsh, but he's a 7th rounder now. Before Fred is gone it should be expected for Jax to invest a much higher pick in an RB to go with Drew. Chauncey needs to be very good and catch some breaks like Bradshaw did or he'll vanish. I wish him well. I wish some other team had invested a little more in him.

Let's hear some Mr. Irrelevant candidates.

What's your pick for the Rams at #252?

Here's mine:

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

LB Jolonn Dunbar, Boston College

*** SPOILER ALERT! Click this link to display the potential spoiler text in this box. ***");document.close();
If not him, then....mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

LB Vince Hall, Virginia Tech - Go HOKIES

*** SPOILER ALERT! Click this link to display the potential spoiler text in this box. ***");document.close();
Both of mine still there..... :confused:

so who can tell me about Rob Jackson, DE Kansas State?
According to Scott Wright
Strengths:Relentless with a non-stop motor....Is stout at the point of attack and does a nice job versus the run...Great strength...Sheds blocks well...Excels in pursuit....Offers some versatility...Very active with great range....Hard worker with top intangibles.Weaknesses:Doesn't have ideal height or bulk...Below average timed speed...He is not a great natural pass rusher...Not very athletic...Doesn't use his hands well...Questionable awareness and instincts...Upside may be limited...Just two years of DI experience.Notes:Transfer from Fort Scott Community College where he played both defensive end and tight end...Was a two-year starter at Kansas St...Related to basketball hall of famer Calvin Murphy...Could play in either a 43 or a 34 scheme...Jack-of-All-Trades but master of none..Could compete for a roster spot but profiles as just a backup.

thanks. In the 7th I am hoping they get a guy who could be a situational pass rusher.

:pickle: I saw it and frankly could not turn my eyes away.Goodbye Santa Goodell! I'll be good with my toys and share with my brother this year!Please don't give the Jets a high pick next year! They'll be good I swear!!! :( Turn out the lights....The Party's over.....It seems that all.....Good things must end.....

Arrington, Urrutia and Monk got picked at the last minute. Good for them. Arrington to the Saints is interesting. They need someone to step up alongside Colston. He has an interesting shot, but it's real crowded. Urrutia to the Bengals is just another dart in portraits of Henry and CJ. Simpson and Caldwell also coming in, so he's a major longshot. Monk probably goes to the best situation to have an impact, but I wish he just went to Dallas UDFA at this point.

Tommy Blake would have been a first rounder last year. Comes back his senior year, goes into a deep depression, gets a little flaky, goes undrafted. I know the kid is on meds now and should be much better. I bet he makes a roster.

Marcus Dixon gets screwed by the justice system and it costs him being drafted. I hope he catches on somewhere.

I would like to see Tommy Blake signed by the Cowboys although I don't know if could play DE for us at all. Does anyone know if he could make the move to OL although we have a lot of depth he might be able to be a pass rushing specialist.

Very Nice that Campbell got drafted. And the fans where very classy. I'd like to see Campbell wear 40 in honor of the late Pat Tillman...
i agree that its a great story. This kid is a great example of everything the army should be about.That being said, this really comes off as a publicity stunt. They changed the rules to make an exception. I'm sure the kid is thrilled to be drafted and relieved that he wont have to deal with the garbage going on in Iraq. However. i gotta think that some general pulled him into their office and said "listen, son, we need some good press, so this is what you're gonna do"Hope he makes it though. seems like a great guy. I just wonder what's going to be running through his head the first time one of his classmates goes down. I've got a buddy who graduated from the academy a few years back, and apparently its not a great feeling.
