I hate you NEW ENGLAND!!!

Excuse me for not reading."prior to the season, or even any time during the season"Not really. That was the least surprising bad pick in this draft. That Crabtree would not be the first WR off the board would have pulled a lot more coin.I think someone could have made a lot of money prior to the season, or even any time during the season, betting that Clay Matthews would go ahead of Rey Maualuga.

That was their most obvious position of need last year. The Pats are putting on a clinic.Chung and Butler are real nice additions to the NE secondary.
I give us. Seriously.
Now we know why NE traded up.

Likewise. I had them taking Orakpo if Crabtree wasn't there - they can still get a nice pass rusher this late, good deal.ETA: Apparently they traded their pick to CAR.I will be very surprised if SF does not take Brown.
and what a shock, Patriots load up with two more great players that fit perfectly into their system. How many years do we need to see the same blueprint.....trade down and get lots of picks between 35 and 50 and then just maneuver around to grab exactly the players that fit your system.Every year these guys do it and no other team (despite their huge success every year) follows suit. It's simply amazing.
This had to have been their plan all along, and they're very prepared to dominate Rounds 2 and 3. This year the draft is full of 2nd / 3rd tier talent, so this made total sense. The question is, is any other GM taking notes? Anyone? Several did make pre-draft moves (PHI, KC, CHI) but still........and then there is DEN and OAK.It's like they're not even trying#### you, Bills.
I'm thinking now that the Pats could actually sit and go a number of ways with #58 depending on who is there. I would think the following would be on their radar with 15 picks before their next pick:William BeattyConnar BarwinPat WhiteWho else might they target?I would want this, but when you're predicting the Patriots to draft a Day 1 OLB, you're in uncharted water. I hope they get someone though.Another guy I wouldn't mind seeing is Shady as a quasi-Kevin Faulk replacement. Pretty old backfield.I would expect the Pats to TRADE UP again with the #58 pick to get their OLB. They have 4 3rd round picks. I cant see them making all of those picks.
3 OL I like from Oklahoma are still availableCould even stay on offense and get an o-lineman. Not a bad idea to get your franchise QB a receiver/blocker in Pettigrew and a solid G or C for the next 10 years.Bri said:they're doing real wellMSULions said:exactly, there are 4 or 5 guys i would be ecstatic to see fall to them. They've done well so far. They'll get a 1st round talent at 33 easily...
The Colts have also been great at doing this over the last 10 years or so, consistently only selecting guys that fit their system, not getting drawn in by measurables and maneuvering up and down in the lower first and early second round. It's no coincidence that they have arguably been the two best teams in the league this decade.and what a shock, Patriots load up with two more great players that fit perfectly into their system. Pat White - great call. He could be the second coming of Troy BrownI'm thinking now that the Pats could actually sit and go a number of ways with #58 depending on who is there. Hope they cleaned up. Brown would have been perfect.I'm curious what SF got out of this deal...Brown would have been a great fit for us.
Sorry, no. The Patriots are clearly #1. But the Steelers are #2, ahead of Indy at this point. The Colts have also been great at doing this over the last 10 years or so, consistently only selecting guys that fit their system, not getting drawn in by measurables and maneuvering up and down in the lower first and early second round. Check out CBS Sports, they will ahve the NFL Draft Count write-up, and it will be extensive. Is there a free website I can read up on Ziggy Hood?
Wow. Good trade for SF then. Also these "how the Navy is like the NFL" things are awful.WOW Carolina trades a #1 next year
Evander Hood, Missouri Height: 6-3. Weight: 300. Projected 40 Time: 4.94. Combine 40 Time: 4.91. Pro Day 40 Time: DNP. Benchx225: 35. Vertical: 34.5. Not bad for a defensive tackle. 5/9/08: Earned an All-Big XII honorable mention with 4.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss and five pass break-ups in 14 starts. Is there a free website I can read up on Ziggy Hood?
Add Max Unger and Jarron Gilbert to the above list.Pat White - great call. I'm not crazy about this move. It's not bad but we still have a lot of holes to fill.Wow, 2nd and 4th from SF for 2010 1st from CAR.
Never mind - he's a 'phinPat White - great call. pick.I figured it had to be a lot because I think SF would like to have Brown there. Good trade for the 49ers I think as Carolina could easily have a losing season.Wow, 2nd and 4th from SF for 2010 1st from CAR.
Pat White will he play QB for the Fish?

Yeah, that's not great. 2nd this year are already = 1st next year...AND this year's 4th? When a guy most had as a 1st (Brown) was sitting there?Don't like it. SF grade just went from sure A to B-.I'm not crazy about this move. It's not bad but we still have a lot of holes to fill.Wow, 2nd and 4th from SF for 2010 1st from CAR.
Pat White is a cool pick for the Dolphins. The Wildcat will not just be a gimick play this year, they will use it regularly in their offense..
Nice pick.few more of us tooChad Henne just went "what?"
Thank God I renewed those tickets. As long as fools like me keep pouring money into the franchise, they have no motive to get any better. But if I stop giving them money, they move to Toronto....It's like they're not even trying#### you, Bills.
Nope - he didn't.Henne is clearly the #2 behind Pennie. White = QB4 playing a different position - think Slash/Randle-ElChad Henne just went "what?"
The Patriots have been trying to fill the backup Nose Tackle position for a while now and the Titus Adams' of the world just haven't worked. They needed to protect themselves against a Wilfork injury or contract fiasco.Chung will be a good in the box safety and Butler will help to fill out the Cornerback depth.Brace will platoon nicely with Vince and keep him fresh. They will still be looking to lock up Vince with a new deal and I don't think this has any bearing on that. The Chung and Butler picks upgrade the secondary, now for a LB and OL/WR/RB to round out the first 3 rounds.
Bills looking at another 0-6 season in the division.Sanchez in White come into the AFC East...oh yeah and some guy named Terrell Owens. This is becoming a much more entertaining division.

(and most experts think this year's draft is horrible compared to next years)
