Yuck. Would have liked Sidbury.Dolphins employing the throw some names against the wall and see what sticks approach with WRs.
thomas will be in the NFL for a long time...very solid pick, definitely better than most of what the Jags have at that position. He's a legit #2 NFL WR.Also like the Mike Thomas pick for Jax, good value here IMO.
They get TJ Lang. Glad they grabbed a OT here.I hope the Packers grab an OT here. I wonder what they think of Meredith?
don't worry they are gonna take a pass-catching change of pace guy to spell Ced Ben. Ben'll be fine next yearI'm glad. I have to rely on Benson to do something this season. I hope they don't take a RB at all.......Wow, surprised Cincy didn't go RB in the 4th.![]()
-QGso far 2 WRs for the Fins: Round 3, Pick 23 (87) Patrick Turner WR 6'5" 223 Southern Cal Pick Analysis:The Dolphins pick up Turner to become their big target in the middle of the field. With exceptional size and hands, Turner could become a prolific scorer in the Dolphins' red-zone offense. Round 4, Pick 8 (108) (From Raiders) Brian Hartline WR 6'2" 195 Ohio State Pick Analysis:Hartline tested unbelievably well. He's got more quickness than speed. He may have been better served staying in school. He's got good size for a receiver and has a great mental makeup, which is a key element to what Bill Parcells looks for in building his team. They don't have another pick until late in round 5.-QGWhat are the Fins doing today?
There was a trade... Mike Brown for Bill Parcells. What are the Fins doing today?
I wonder why Sidbury is falling like this. I saw him projected as a late 2nd. Mid-3rd at worst. He must've sucked in his personal workouts or something.Yuck. Would have liked Sidbury.Dolphins employing the throw some names against the wall and see what sticks approach with WRs.
I don't know he wasn't rated high at all but most of their picks haven't been.Victor Butler any good? Boys really needed a LBer opposite Ware
Reading, I thought special teamer.I think the Boys are missing the boat here. As they showed at the end of the season, they are "this close" to being one of the best Ds.Also, haven't they lost more than they've gained?I don't know he wasn't rated high at all but most of their picks haven't been.Victor Butler any good? Boys really needed a LBer opposite Ware
Goodson has much more upside in my opinion. If Andre Brown lands in a good situation he could really make some FF noise this year...surprised he's still on the board...I like him a lot more than Goodson.
Vaughn Martin, DL, Western OntarioThis is the out-of-nowhere mystery prospect. At 6-3, 331 pounds, Martin has all the measurables and much of the athleticism to get recognized, but he didn't win multiple accolades or get invited to some of the postseason showcase games or events. The one-time Michigan State recruit, who never set foot on campus and played in Canada, is so confident in his ability to land in the NFL that he left Western Ontario with eligibility remaining to declare for the draft.Vaughn Martin not on Mayock's board
slow, small, poor tackler.Seems like DJ Moore would be a good value now. Is the big knock on him his 40 times?
Yeah, I guess the comparison isn't fair, Goodson is a big question mark and a more versatile back...Andre Brown on the other hand you pretty much know what you're getting which is a tough runner whose game seems to suit the NFL.Goodson has much more upside in my opinion. If Andre Brown lands in a good situation he could really make some FF noise this year...surprised he's still on the board...I like him a lot more than Goodson.
Reading the Sammie Lee Hill write up, sounds like a great small school prospect. Put on 50 pounds while he was in colege. Seems like a good risk in the 4th round, souns like a run stuffer, something the Lions badly need. What in Sam Hill are the Lions thinking
What in Sam Hill are the Lions thinking

I think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential. Still, I expect him to be gone in the 5th or 6th.Did I miss Duke Robinson pick?
That is impressive, I only put on 35 pounds while I was in collegeReading the Sammie Lee Hill write up, sounds like a great small school prospect. Put on 50 pounds while he was in colege. -QGWhen is DeAngelo's contract up? They may not be able to resign him...Interesting spot for Goodson. Rich getting richer, a shame for his fantasy value.
ESPN still has him 2nd best GuardBloom liked him IIRCI think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential. Still, I expect him to be gone in the 5th or 6th.Did I miss Duke Robinson pick?

DeAndre Levy, the Detroit Lions' third-round pick, played outside linebacker at Wisconsin but said the Lions coaches talked to him about playing in the middle in Detroit. Levy said the coaches told him a final decision on that possible move had yet to be made.
While the Lions already have starters on the outside in Ernie Sims and Julian Peterson, they have a glaring hole at middle linebacker.
Levy said the Lions also called him to Detroit for a late visit on April 17, the final day that players can visit teams. Levy said he believed that Detroit's late interest meant they were interested in him.
To each their own, here is my write up from the Oklahoma - Cincy Game"Widely considered to be the best guard prospect by a large margin. I will need to watch several more games, because I did not see much to be excited about regarding Robinson. I did find it odd that he was substituted for on a couple of early series (not consecutive) by Brian Simmons. Robinson is big, and if he gets his hands on you, you are not getting away. He can knock you down to the ground with his great strength. He looked extremely slow when asked to pull, and often times could not get to his target on the 2nd level in time due to his very slow game speed. He looked gassed after any series that lasted more than 3 plays. Like Loadholt, often saw him standing around instead of seeking out a defender. He did not even look like a top 5 guard in this game"ESPN still has him 2nd best GuardBloom liked him IIRCI think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential. Being an OU fan, I really liked him, but he stunk up the joint against Florida and that really changed my opinion of the guy.I think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential. Still, I expect him to be gone in the 5th or 6th.Did I miss Duke Robinson pick?
I can tell you this much. At least once every game I found myself saying, WTF is he doing/thinking?I think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential. Still, I expect him to be gone in the 5th or 6th.Did I miss Duke Robinson pick?
Wasn't Tulloch or Fowler an OLB?Levy says the Lions talked to him about playing in the middle.

It's one thing I learned breaking down games the last several years - completely ignore the press players get, because sometimes it's like a runaway train. So many players that were hyped up completely dissapointed on film. Guys like Robinson, Loadholt, Rey Maluaga, and James Laurinitis. Robinson can not make a reach block to save his life. He is going to be overwhelmed in the pros.I can tell you this much. At least once every game I found myself saying, WTF is he doing/thinking?I think once scouts were able to break down Oklahoma games, they realized that Robinson does not have much pro potential.
