suspension parker looming then?
http://www.philly.com/philly/blogs/dneagle...ty_Workout.htmlThe Parker thing, by the way, is unlikely to have any ramifications whatsoever, other than placing Parker into the league's substance program, if he is found guilty. Assuming Parker is not currently in the program, he likely will not be subject to suspension. If Parker is in the program, he might be suspended for four games.
How does that happen? Was he dangling the pot out of his pocket? Seems odd that being stopped for a traffic violation would yield any insight into what he had in his possession....Juqua Parker busted for pot
According to the Morning Call, Parker was a passenger in a vehicle that had been stopped for a traffic violation. He allegedly was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
I havent been to camp yet, but every television report shows him constantly. IMO he looks like a younger version of BWest but faster. He also did well in blitz pick up yesterday.Philly guys...I'm seeing McCoy lighting up the training camp reports. Anyone that's actually been at camp, can you give me your opinion on how Shady's looked?

Guy is the real deal.... Quick, doesn't drop a thing, and was very impressed with his blocking the past two days.... If he gets a crease, he's gone....grtwhtsk said:Philly guys...I'm seeing McCoy lighting up the training camp reports. I forget who said it on TV but they predicted Ingram would be the starter by mid season. They said that he is looking absolutely fantastic. Extremely athletic and lots of body control. I am keeping my fingers crossed that we may actually have a real tight end on this team for the first time since KJ.A friend of a friend sent out a camp update and really praised McCoy and Ingram. He said they had a lot of 2 TE formations with Ingram and Celek too.

The very white Todd Herremans was driving the vehicle and turned the wrong way down a one way street at midnight with his headlights off. Parker was in the passenger seat.
The New England Patriots have acquired former Eagles defensive end Derrick Burgess from the Oakland Raiders. However, according to one report, the Patriots weren't Burgess' only suitor.Adam Schefter reports the Eagles were in the mix for his services.New England gave up a third-round pick in 2010 and a fifth-rounder in 2011, reports Michael Lombardi of the National Football Post.Schefter, via his Twitter account, says the Eagles offered a third-round pick and an unidentified player. So who might the player have been? It's only a guess, but Reggie Brown and Hank Baskett come to mind. The Eagles have a surplus at receiver, and the question all camp has been -- will the team keep both those guys on the roster?I know some of you might mention Sheldon Brown, but in my opinion, that would be a pretty high price to pay. Brown has looked good in camp and is a starting cornerback. Burgess' role with the Eagles' defense would likely be as a rotation guy and situational pass rusher. Don't get me wrong. It would have filled a need, but I don't think they'd have agreed to include Sheldon Brown.Burgess turns 31 next week and had 3.5 sacks in 10 games last season. In his first three seasons with the Raiders, Burgess piled up 35 sacks, an impressive number. In 2005, he had a Pro Bowl season, leading the league with 16 sacks. Burgess also went to Hawaii in 2006 when he had 11 sacks. The Eagles drafted him in the third round of the 2001 draft. Burgess had six sacks as a rookie. He signed a five-year, $17.5 million with Oakland in 2005.ESPN's Chris Mortensen was the first to report that the Eagles could have interest in Burgess, back in May.
They made a mistake here...Burgess would be a definite upgrade to their current d-line.Eagles tried to nab Burgess

I just threw up a little in my mouth.Besides being an Eagles fan, I have him in at least half my leagues.Desean down... Leg injury..... carted off

Sounds like DeSean will be fine. I just drafted him myself after hearing how he's been tearing up camp, if he's getting the better of Asante, he could be in for a nice year.I just threw up a little in my mouth.Besides being an Eagles fan, I have him in at least half my leagues.Desean down... Jackson has hyperextended knee and Ingram swelling in knee. Both will be fine.
Hope he's right. Also:

Westbrook worked out again with AR after practice and looked great.
You come off so negative, I hope you actually get some enjoyment out of following football, it doesn't seem that way.I would guess the "master plan" is to give Shawn every chance to play if he can stay healthy. Of course it's no sure thing, but the guy was a pro-bowler, what do you want them to do, cut him? If he can't play, than they can (not in any particular order):1. Move Stacy to RT and start Max Jean Gilles at RG2. Start Winston Justice at RT (it has been said he's having "the camp of his life", I'm sure he'll have to prove it in preseason if he wants the job)3. Sign Jon RunyanEven if Shawn missed the entire season again I think the line is a good bit better than last year. Hopefully he can get back on the field, being as he injured his back again, I'm sure they're not going to rush him back until he's healthy. Just hope for the best and see what happens. The Ingram injury sucks for sure, but what i want to know is when is the head case OL getting back on the field? You know, the looney Andrews brother. Whats his deal? He misses an entire year due to who knows what and now cant even get on the practice field? This is the master plan this year? Rely on the unreliable?

Buddy is notoriously negative. when is abiamiri supposed to return to action? he's supposed to start, isn't he? with parker's drug charges and any kind of fallout, the need for him to get reps becomes all the more acute....Crap, just found out about Kolb....and now you're telling me Cole is injured too?WTF.It's brutally hot out here today, so I could definitely see heat exhaustion as a factor, but come on now. This team is breaking down like an old FORD.ETA: missing out on Derrick Burgess really hurts if Cole's injury is more than they are letting on right now. They couldn't top a 5th rounder in 2010 to beat out the Pats for his services?
Thanks Zadok.Trent Cole left the morning practice with what the team described as a sprained left shoulder, but the Eagles' defensive end didn't think it was that serious.
"I'm all right," Cole said. "It's just a bruise."
Eagles coach Andy Reid said Cole did not need an MRI.

:fingers crossed:
Why would you dread something that probably isn't going to happen?Am I the only one dreading Kolb becoming the starting QB in the future? I am pretty much expecting a football dark age in Philadelphia when he gets the job and I was kind of relieved when he got injured...
The Kolb injury had nothing to do with the heat - it happened early in the morning practice, and looked to be one of those things that could happen on any play. I also thought we offered a 3rd and a player for Burgess, which is higher than a 5th?Crap, just found out about Kolb....and now you're telling me Cole is injured too?WTF.It's brutally hot out here today, so I could definitely see heat exhaustion as a factor, but come on now. No - I didn't think Kolb looked very good on the other occasions where I've seen him play, and I'm not convinced that he's the QB of the future at all. That being said, I thought AJ looked terrible today - maybe it's because he just doesn't get many reps anymore as the #3, but he was hanging in the pocket way to long.Am I the only one dreading Kolb becoming the starting QB in the future? Burgess- we did offer more than a 3rd. This talk about "missing out" on Burgess is ludicrous. He had a couple good seasons and he's barely more than a role-player at this point. Sounds like more sour grapes drummed up by Eskin to the masses in an uproar. And yes, I was listing to WIP the day of the trade to hear his idiocy on the matter. Stupid rental car with no Sirius....The Kolb injury had nothing to do with the heat - it happened early in the morning practice, and looked to be one of those things that could happen on any play.
