OMG he's going to let Vince Young throw the ball 50 times when we have McCoy in the backfield. What a ####### #######.
You were way premature here.....18 pass to 14 run at the half is as balanced as AR could be

Seems like VY has all day in the pocket...can't really tell on tv if our WRs are never getting open...or he's just that horrible.

Judging by his throw...he's just horrible.

Another dash of false hope. 8-8 finish and a pat on Andy's back for doing such a great job for turning it around. Here's another 3 year extension. sigh

Something I just don't understand. Why is it that Reid ALWAYS goes to a more balanced, conservative offense with his backups? Seriously, Sunday night McCoy looked about as pedestrian a RB as he ever has, yet they consistently called runs through four quarters of football. You put a healthy Vick in there, with the offensive game-plan they rolled out and that game isn't close.

Reid effing did this with Garcia, he effing did this with Feely and now he is effing doing it with Vince Young...and they all were winners for their efforts!!! As soon as Donovan was back in...65-35 Pass to Run. I already know what is going to happen with the Pats if Vick is in..abandon the run after 8-9 carries and during the losing game presser he'll acknowledge that 'they wanted to get the run going, it just wasn't working so they got away from it.'

Andy being Andy I guess...

On a more positive note, this is the defense that I was expecting to see from the get-go. Coincidence that there was no DRC on the field?

Even with Kolb's injuries and struggles, AZ fleeced us on that one.

Uh, the Eagles still have AZ's 2nd round pick next year, so it is a bit premature to say we got fleeced. I also think there is a chance, based on salary cap numbers, that the Eagles cut Asante next year, and move DRC over to the other corner. He will probably play betterthere since he does not like the slot.

I have never bought into the VY hype, and living in Houston, there is a lot of it down here. I will say, however, as the game progressed on Sunday,

I felt very comfortable with him as our QB. He looked comfortable and he looked like he knew the game plan. I am not sure I always feel like that

with Vick. Not trying to say VY is better than Vick, it just seemed he had more natural pocket presence. Thoughts?

Depends on what you want. Do you want someone who will put it all out there in order to make every play a success. Or do you want someone who will throw the ball away when the plays not there.

Vick and Iverson are really the same guy, it's unbelievable.

I was kind of being facetious but DRC was fairly overrated to begin with. Plus if Andy is making that 2nd round pick next year, do you have any faith he will be a player or will he be another square peg for a round hole?

The Eagles, Temple & Real Madrid all have same number of wins at the Linc over the Eagles last 9 home games :excited:

ETA: sorry, Temple has 5.

During the post game show on CSN, Derrick Gunn reported Jim Washburn and Marty were in a "heated discussion" nose-to-nose for about a minute or so and had to be separated.

Cracks beginning to show.

Maybe it had something to do with the whole 10 carries Shady got. I am so done with this coaching staff. I can barely watch this team anymore.

As much as I would like to see coaching change at the end of the year, I still think it's kind of disgraceful to have "Fire Andy" chants during the game. The man has done great things for this franchise, even though he wont be winning coach of the year this year. I will miss the fat man when he's gone.

I'm sure I speak for most Eagle fans when I say I'll miss him in the same vein I missed McNabb. I appreciate both of them but much like McNabb then I am just sick of Reid now. I haven't been to a game this season but I have had the same chant in my living room.

Cant wait to hear about some coaching changes. Maybe after we lose to sea?
My buddy tells me that pretty much everyone sees the end coming. Sucks for him because he just bought a new house last year. Good thing for him that Reid likes him and he'd probably have a job where ever Andy goes. That being said, the decision might not be Reid's since my friend doesn't report directly to him, but to Roseman.

It's just time for a change. No way after saying we're "all in" and losing games and control of players can he come back. JMO anyway.

Looking at this team right now, who are the core players (offense and defense)? In the past we had Donovan & Westbrook, Dawk, Lito, Akers...even guys like Tra Thomas and Runyun. Who are those guys right now? Who's coming back next year that we can rely on? Vick, McCoy and ??

We have more than enough good players. Babin, Cole, Jenkins, Nnamdi, Peters, Herremans, Vick, McCoy, Maclin. Our problems have been 1) mistakes, 2) not closing, 3) starting some really bad players like Page and Matthews.

Trent Cole for sure. But I'm pretty sure Babin & Jenkins are on 1-year deals. Is Nnamdi really a 'core' player? Has he done much this year to make you say "boy we need that guy back".And yes we have a lot of talent, but who are the 'core'? Who are the players this team is built around?

Babin signed a big deal and Jenkins is on a 1-year deal. I'd like to think Nnamdi will be a core guy if we have someone here that can use his strengths. Our core on offense would be Vick, McCoy and Maclin. On defense I would say Cole, Babin and Nnamdi...maybe Samual depending on what happens with him.

I very much hope that the Packers go back after Cullen. He's the missing piece of their defense right now.

I looked at Rotoworld and looks like Babin & Jenkins have 5 year deals. Nnamdi has a 5 year deal too, I think. And Cole is signed up for a couple of more years. So we do have players we can build around. We just need to get someone in here that knows how to evaluate defensive talent and run a defense. On offense we're stuck with injury prone Vick and his inconsistencies. A top RB that a new coach could actually plan his game around.

Jenkins and Babin both got 5 year deals with only 1 yr guaranteed. They are set to make good coin next year so could get cut, but both have played well enough. I am more confident on Babin being back than Jenkins. If they really clean house (all coaches fired), all bets are off.The team is built around QB, OL, DL, and CB. Always has been. There is talent at those positions.

Would be a shame if Cullen gets axed next year. He's the only thing close to a leader on that Defense, coach included.

Jenkins isn't making much next year. This year he had a 1M base and 3M roster bonus. In 2012 and 2013 he has a 4M base, 2014 4.5M base and 2015 and 8.5M base. http://www.eaglescap.com/current.html

Is there some kind of roster bonus or something that Jenkins gets? I thought when we got him all of (or a lot of the talk) was that his deal was basically a one year deal...

Either way, I hope they keep him.

That was my impression as well. In fact I thought most of the FA's they brought in this offseason were basically one year deals. That's why I didn't include them in my "core" list. Another vote though to keep Jenkins!

It's a 5 mil roster bonus. It makes his total compensation 7.75 mil for next year. Which is a whole heckuva lot but not exorbitant. It is top 10 DT money, but not elite DT money (Ngata gets $12 mil a year). The Eagles gave themselves a lot of outs because of injury risk. If Jenkins is healthy and effective, I think they keep paying him.

I can't see this regime keeping him at that cost and that regime is Banner and Roseman...

^ Roseman can leave too.

Fokou done for the year., getting promoted from the practice squad is none other then.....GREG LLOYD.....junior. Basically a 3-4 LB with bad knees. 7th rounder so he seems perfect for the eagles D.

Banner is going to stay cause he's the money man but I would like to see roseman go too. His drafts have been pretty awful. Have we gotten any starters out of the bunch? Not just guys who are starting because of circumstance, guys who are viable nfl starting calibur players? Here's his 2 years as GM.
