We all can't have designated hitters. How did this team make the World Series? The NL is an embarrassment.

Giants, Cards, in this series, Victorino, Drew, etc.How did this team make the World Series? The NL is an embarrassment.
The Dodgers had a bunch of injuries. If LA stayed as healthy as STL did, the Dodgers would have had home field in the NLCS and would have won the World Series easily. How did this team make the World Series? The NL is an embarrassment.
If it ain't broke... ;-)What a surprise. wilked showed up right after the Red Sox took the lead.
I believe they'll be cutting them off as part of the gay-sex-orgy post-game celebration. So will they shave their beards or continue their schtick until it reaches Brian Wilson proportions?
wonder who he decided to go to the game with?A couple in my neighborhood (from Beantown) posted an awesome video on FB today. They pulled their 2nd grader out of school today at lunchtime, telling Eli he had a dentist appointment they forgot to tell him about. As he packed his glove and ball into his backpack (on the playground), they dropped an envelope at his feet. His confusion to ecstasy in five seconds was priceless. Inside the envelope he found three tickets to tonight's game.
That's a helluva a good lifelong memory to give a 7 y.o.
Yep. Because we're going to get a steady diet of their top bullpen guys from here to the end.damn hate leaving them juiced
If you didn't wait until your team was winning the Series before starting to root for them, you would be at Boston's first World Series closeout win at Fenway in 95 years. But that's the downside risk of being a frontrunner. If it ain't broke... ;-)What a surprise. wilked showed up right after the Red Sox took the lead.
LOL. The Cards wouldn't tie this game up if it went 30 innings.Yep. Because we're going to get a steady diet of their top bullpen guys from here to the end.damn hate leaving them juiced
Ok, so stop it with the Bogaerts love. The whole Red Sox team is lighting it up... Change of pitchers does nothing to help the Chickens. Bases loaded. Then Humohrey Bogaerts, the Series MVP according to the Kool-Aid drinkers, comes to bat with two outs... Bases loaded... And whiffs again. And he leads the team in whiffs to boot. But when I question what he's done for us lately.... "Oh... Try watching the games for once". Gimme a effing break.![]()
Thanks GB, wish I was there too! First time encountering Red Sox fans? The real Red Sox fans, the ones who were around for Bernie Carbo, Bucky Dent, Ray Knight, and Aaron Boone and lived to tell about it... They won't believe the game is over until the umps have left the field and the stadium lights have been turned off. And to be fair, they have plenty of reasons to feel that way.LOL. Nobody said he was series MVP. Just that you are severely underrating him.

Certain nights? I don't think I ever left that place before 2:40 a.m.It has been a few years but JJ Foley's on Berkeley Street used to stay open until after 3 am on certain nights. If the Sox win tonight, I would imagine it will be open all night.

I have no idea how Lackey is doing it... Hasn't missed a ton of bats, but is definitely keeping them off-balance overallFarrell needs to get Dubront warmed up

Most of that impending doom feeling was erased in 2004.
That said, it ain't ovah 'till it's ovah.Congrats to Sox fans on the win.
If anyone has a 3B or SS, please call Cardinals GM John Mozeilak. TIA.
Lackey has been great, I guess my point is that Farrell should look to get 2-3 innings out of Dubront tonight. Dubront to Koji and finish this off.mI have no idea how Lackey is doing it... They announced they were going to do that on the news.Boston police suck...
@bostonpolice: Anyone who is not in a bar and does not have a ticket to the game must leave the permitter area around #Fenway
There's a great passage in "The Big Show" by Olbermann and Patrick about Olbermann's experience watching that game from the stands in Fenway. Granted it's from a Yankee fan's perspective - and if there's anything Cardinals and Red Sox fans can agree on, it's how much the Yankees and everything associated with them suck harder than a Dyson operated by Jenna Jameson - but still a great read.and its Bucky ####### Dent
I heard the bars were locked down after the 7th, didn't hear about the perimeter though. They announced they were going to do that on the news.Boston police suck...
