Kunitz, Bergeron or Benn could be removed for any of the bigger snubs (St Louis, Thornton, Lucic, Stall, Giroux, etc).

I get that Bergeron is there for his faceoffs and D but the other two? Is Kunitz there to give Sid HJs in the shower in case he gets home sick? What does Benn bring over any of the other snubs?

As if Crosby didn't hand pick Kunitz.

Leaving St. Louis off the roster is a huge mistake IMO. Big ice suits him and he is a big moment player.

Weak in net. Weakest of all the contenders IMO.

Still the best team top to bottom (on paper).

Russia-Finland final. Russia wins it on home ice.

Headline up here when Canada doesn't medal will be that management blew this one by taking size over speed on the int'l ice.

Subban is going to get abused in his own end.

With Joe Thornton off the team, I am sure Toews will change to #19.

If they both make the team next time, would Toews keep #19?

Their 1st team D isn't as good and the US's. Let me rephrase, the 1st team D picked for the 2014 Canadian Olympic hockey team is not as good as the D picked for the 2014 US hockey team.

No Anton Volchenkov for Russia, that's surprising.

Giroux with a goal tonight. Some of these guys who got left off their olympic teams are gonna light it up the next few weeks.

When people argue against Bergeron making the team it feels they just want every player who scores the most goals. Or has the most recognizable name. Bergeron should be on the team.

the extra rest should be good for Stamkos. Better to heal up than get re-injured IMO.
