@EliotShorrParks: The #Eagles are still talking with Mike Mitchell, according to a league source. Would not be surprised to see a deal get done soon.

He was also the Captain of their D last year.

I was listening to Sal Pal on the way home on 97.5 and I believe what he said is the reason why we're not going crazy in FA. He said they're trying to build a core without upsetting the locker room with high priced FA's. This is similar to what Howie has said earlier in the year as well. We need to build through the draft.

I don't know what the money will look like but Ware should be a guy they consider. I'm sure he'd be a respected Vet and would team nicely with Cole on D.

Would've loved Jenkins & Ward for Byrd money.

But overall like the signing, and the process of good players for little guaranteed money.

And they have to pay Jimmy Graham. They gotta be restructuring some contracts. Either way, that roster's pretty top heavy. We know how that's working out for Dallas.

EDIT: Saints are giving former Bills S Jairus Byrd a six-year, $54 million contract, including $28 million guaranteed, per source.

So he got his 9 mil/year. Glad we passed.

Negatives on Jenkins are stone hands, sometimes takes bad angles, sometimes gets caught out of position and can't tackle. Usually goes for the big hit when he should wrap up. He will certainly be missed as a person, but the Saints got much better with Byrd. Still, Jenkins is quite a bit better than what the Eagles had so you should be happy.

As much as I wanted Byrd, I'm thinking this was the right move. I don't think Jenkins is great by any stretch but he was an upgrade at a much cheaper price. If they have some other moves in mind to improve the pass rush or corners, then this could work out good. If they plan on paying Foles QB money next year, they probably had their own cap in mind that is much lower than the actual one.

 
At least we got a safety, so we don't feel compelled to trade up to draft a safety higher then we should....

Still would love to see a deal to get Dion Jordan for pennies on the dollar...

Would like a Jordan deal. I can still see them drafting either Pryor or Ha Ha if they fall to 22.

I think WR is a huge priority for them now. As much as we want defense, Kelly still wants a new toy for his offense. With Foles as my Keeper, I can't wait for that.

Maclin is pretty much a new toy for Chip though. I'm not a huge fan of this TE class, but maybe next year I'd like to see another pass-catching TE with speed added along side Ertz to really open things up for Chip and Foles.
