Breaking it another wayQuick thoughts on a pool I'm trying to throw together-
Eight owners draft four teams, $25 fee
Payouts-
$5 group winners
$5 1st ko round winners
$10 quarters winners
$15 semis winners
$50 finals winners
Simple enough? Better ideas for a simple last minute pool?

Getting the champion gets you $80 or $85
Getting the runner up gets you $30 or $35
Getting a losing semi-finalists gets you $15 or $20
Getting a losing quarter-finalists gets you $5 or $10
If you have a group winner who loses in round one you get $5.
Fun format, but seems like it could be a little top heavy. The 8th pick guy is probably boned a little too hard by this set up IMO but that could just be me.

You just change the total by % if it's over/under the $200 total

I don't know whether they are considered blogs or not but try and follow Grant Wahl and Ives Garlacep on Twitter. Both write a lot of US based articles. What blogs are you all following for WC coverage? Looking for a couple dedicated to the USA team and the WC overall.
TIA
One of these men is married to a supermodel (from Men In Blazers)El Tri coach Miguel Herrera may have had his tongue planted firmly in his cheek when he said he didn't know who New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is, but he politely posed for a photo with the three-time Super Bowl winner after Mexico finished its practice ahead of Friday's friendly vs. Portugal at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.
"He asked me for a photo. I don't know who he is nor whether he has won something but I made the kid's day," Herrera posted in Spanish on his Twitter account.

I did not attack you from that post, it was reasonable. You jumped off the deep end in this comment below. You even fixed the poll in your favor and you are no where near the 98% mark. Then I was attacked... Cry a little? Big tough guy soccer fan!
I'd say well over 90% of Americans would much rather go to a baseball game than a soccer game.
90% is generous for soccer too, as the real number is prob closer to 98%.
No bc it isn't difficult to look at team evaluations, attendance, tv ratings, jersey sales, and any relevant statistic that backs that up. No. Because so many games are friendlies no one keeps track of it. I could easily get you the MLS, US Nats, Mexican Nats type numbers but the million of friendlies by the Euro club teams, the Mexican club teams that sell out all over the country are much harder to come by. Sorry :(Andy... are there numbers available for the total number of Americans who watched a soccer match (MLS, Nats, Mexico, EPL -- all leagues) in the last year? Would be curious to see how that number stacks up with other sports outside the big three.
Already found a recent survey where 4% of the US said soccer it's favorite sport -- 4th best, ahead of the NHL at 3%
