****Official 2015 Chicago Bears Offseason Thread **** (1 Viewer)

And only cares about his targets. Essentially, he won't be in Chicago next year because his attitude sucks. Nevermind he doesn't acknowledge his own mistakes this season. Another guy playing the blame game like Marshall.

Pr1ck tease footshooters. Time for a new kicker. No turnovers. Can't finish drives. Back to planning for the draft. Adrian Amos has been good this year, but he absolutely blew that coverage on Smith.

Who do we play next week? Oh, right. Don't even care.

Go Panthers. Gotta root for Riverboat Ron's crew.

Onto next year, Bears. Continue being losers then, too. Losers
Dont worry, theyll beat some garbage team next week and everybody will be packing their bags for Santa Clara again.

Losing to SF at home in a playoff hunt means season over. Bad Jay showed up and jag balls Gould was wearing his ballerina slippers.

Yeah good to see he learned from the last two injuries trying to save a pick six...
IMO the only good thing about Cutler picks is that there's always a possibility he'll knock himself out of the game trying to make a tackle. If he's not even going to try to tackle anymore there's really no more upside to his INT's.

Cutler is a tough guy but he wanted no part of making that tackle.
This I gotta hear.

Cutler sat on the bench when it mattered most. You know that right? The next day he was at some mall in LA shopping with his reality star girlfriend.

Tough as nails.

You do know that many people with sprained MCL's can have no problems simply walking right?

You do know that trying to run and plant your feet to make accurate throws on an unstable knee while 300lb men are trying to kill you is a different situation right?

I disdain Jay as a QB but he's pretty much been the definition of a tough QB. Stands in the pocket to take hits, seldom slides after scrambles, and is pretty much willing to sacrifice his body to make a play. Anyone who thinks otherwise is either trolling or stupid.

You still think Cutler is the problem with this team?
He's not the problem, but IMO he's the biggest problem. I hope to someday eat these words, but as long as Cutler is the starting QB they're not going anywhere.

I think you're wrong but it remains to be seen.

Certainly not to an NFL championship...

Back to back losses to 49ers and Redskins on road, both who were winless on road. All-time low?
I would say this is the low for this year, but all-time low? Probably not. The way the Bears were manhandled the last two years, the historically bad defenses, losing to the Packers last year 55-14. That was worse. These two losses have been described as the Bears losing to two teams that are really bad. Problem is that the Bears are no better than either of these teams.

Fangio has done a good job of scheming up the defense to hide the fact that the personnel isn't very good. They have one play maker on the team, McPhee. Houston and Young have been pretty good. The D line stinks. Goldman has potential, but the ends stink. The inside linebackers stink. Fuller is better than he was last year, but Porter isn't very good. Amos has potential, but Rolle is below average, and everyone else at that position stinks.

On the offense Gase has done a pretty good job of keeping Cutler in check. He still does stupid things, but not nearly as much, or so it seems. And Cutler has been playing really short-handed at the receiver position. Bennett underachieved this year. Everyone, including me, couldn't wait to get rid of Marshall. Marshall is still better than anyone the Bears have, including Jeffrey. But the biggest problem is the o-line. Long was a Pro Bowler at guard. You move him to right tackle and he is average. He may get better, but he hasn't been very good this year. Grasu may develop, but he isn't very good now. Overall the line is a below average unit.

I was excited about having a professional coaching staff. But after thirteen games this staff has the same record as the team did last year. This team has won some tough games, winning in Green Bay was awesome. But they can't win at home. They are very inconsistent. They need major improvements on both lines. They need ILBs, they need DEs, they need another corner and another safety. They need a LT, a RG, maybe another center. They need more depth at the WR position. Royal was hugely overpaid and is a below average player. They probably need to replace Gould. They have holes all over the place. I was starting to believe in them and then they prove that they aren't very good.

Hell no. For me that has to be back to back weeks of record points against. Never been so embarrassed to watch a pair of games in my life as I was watching Pats and GB back to back last year.

All I could think of as I watched Gould's 3rd clutch kick in 2 weeks go wide was Mike Vanderjagt. They guy went from being absolute money and one of the best to ever play the position, to being cut and out of the game in no time flat. Nothing physical, just somehow lost the mental edge and got the yips. Couldn't kick a FG in Dallas to save his life.

I wasn't worried about Gould after last week's 2 misses, but now add in the miss in the Washington game and IMO the trust is gone, I'll no longer think it's an automatic 3 when he steps on the field. That being said I can't imagine what's going through Gould's mind, it's his profession and livelihood on the line and he's performing like an average K while being the 3rd highest paid K in the league. Hopefully he's just been playing hurt, because if it's a mental thing that's bad news.

McPhee has been playing on a bad leg all year. It's no wonder he's become ineffective.

Willie Young has been a great surprise. Definitely a fit in this scheme and still under contract. He's been dominating.

Grasu looks helpless but wasn't supposed to be starting this year.

The coaching staff made a huge blunder keeping Long at guard until the last minute.

Leno has not been bad at all and should definitely be given the chance to stay at LT.

Porter has been very good this year.

Fuller has improved as season has went on.

Amos is still growing but should be solid at that position.

Rolle has barely played. Need another safety.

ILBs have been pitiful. 2 new ones should be at top of list. This should be Sheas last season.

Goldman is going to be a beast. Great pick.

Need a solid 34 DE like dude from Jets. Going to be fa

Our guards suck. Need at least one. Slauson has been ok but not great.

Need to extend Alshon. Re-sign Porter and Miller.

Need more depth at wr. Royal has been a waste of money because he's been hurt so much.

Need a new return guy

Need to figure out a way to keep Forte if it's reasonable. Langford isn't ready for lead role yet. Would be nice having Forte, Langford, and Carey.
