****Official 2015 Chicago Bears Offseason Thread **** (1 Viewer)

Why did Fox call a timeout with 7 second left? That was the Bears final timeout. It left the possibility of a Raiders kickoff return for TD? It amazes me how stupid some of these coaches can be when it comes to game/clock management.

What? Dominated time of possession and yardage. Defense played well with key stops and turnovers. Clutch kick. They deserved it.

Seriously, while this team really lacks in talent, d got dome pressure and stops, offense had some good drives behind a jacked up o-line, and they came back with a solid drive after the int we all knew was coming.Still not a good team, but they earned this win against another not so good team.

fox is one of the best coaches in the nfl monday to saturday but his clock management on sunday and some of hiss in game decisions leave a lot to be desired bbromigos

Twitter: only 14 Bears who played in Sunday's win over OAK also played in the team's previous win in Week 12 of last year.

They're building up from nothing. It's been a lot worse looking than this in the past. At least it appears they're trying to do it the right way. McPhee and Jenkins signings both looking good. Goldman and Amos looking like good picks as well. Remains to be seen on White. Be glad to see him and Alshon on field together

The way things are going, that's as rare as a leprechaun, riding a unicorn.

Jay Cutler is completing 76.9% of his passes on 3rd down (20-of-26). 69.2% of 3rd-down passes have gone for 1st down, which is best in NFL.

Don't want to hear it. If he would complete some more of his 1st and 2nd down passes there would be far fewer 3rd down passes needed.

Jay is 54/88 for the year, which means he's only 34/62 for 54.8% on all downs except 3rd.

Jay Cutler is currently 25th in the NFL in completion percentage at 61.4%, trailing Kaepernick.

Jay Cutler ranks 23rd in QB rating, trailing Cousins.

Jay Cutler ranks 21st in average yards per pass attempt, just edging out Bortles.

Only 4 QB's have a higher INT percentage than Cutler in 2015.

Jay sucks and I eagerly await the day he is gone. I realize it's highly probable that future Chicago QB's will suck too, and I'm cool with that. At least future ones will harbor the hope that they might one day become a franchise QB. Jay has had years to step up and play smart, and he can't or won't f'ing do it. Every day Jay starts as a Bear is another day Chicago elects to ignore the gaping wound and delay the healing process.

The (recurring) nightmare is the Bears playing well enough to promote themselves out of a position to pick up an elite QB prospect in the draft (if there is one), not want to reach and so only draft a mediocre lottery ticket prospect in the mid-rounds, and then realize they are stuck with Cutler at least another year. If this sounds familiar its because it is familiar.

They're not going to quit trying to win. You don't want a team like that either.
Agreed. I'm just saying theyll probably end up out of the top 5 picks. I agree you need to build a culture of winning and thats more important in the long term than almost anything. But it still sucks.

Considering he's without Jeffery and White, there is a chance he, haha, improves.

I recall they traded a 4th to the Jets and dropped down to grab Rex and Michael Hayes. Cade McKnown anyone?

Not A 4th....the 4th pick in the draft. Most fans wanted Terrell Suggs there because we need a pass rusher desperately. But the Jets were hot for Dewayne Robertson so we took the two 1st rounders.

Ugh

Just imagine the possibilities with a couple of extra 6th rounders in their back pocket.

interesting #Bears day for GM Ryan Pace - 3 rookies starting, w/ Hroniss Grasu @ C, Adrian Amos and Harold Jones-Quartey at safeties

They need to see if they can get anything for Forte. Now is as good a time as any to get a head start on the rebuild.

You have to keep some talent on your team to rebuild. Can't just trade away everything away. No way for current players to progress

Don't disagree but Forte is in final year of deal. Trade him now, and if you want to bring him back next year, bring him back.

I think Bears have some pieces, but they aren't going anywhere as currently constructed.

They won't let Forte get to FA. He's too valuable to the team. Still one of the top backsbacks in the league. With it being the final year of his contract, they wouldn't get enough in return to justify trading him. Chip Kelly isn't running the team.

If the Bears can just keep the second half close, it will show that they've come a long way since last year. This team would roll over after the half in a game like this last year.

Gotta give you credit Flap you're the only guy that's really stayed somewhat positive.

And he's my sworn enemy but Jay was great in the 2nd half today.

Shades of 2001 with the great comeback win. Bennett sucked balls today.

Marquess is becoming a clutch guy.

OL improved throughout the game, J. Houston with 0 sacks is impressive. Nice job, Kyle!

Not to be a complainer on a great day, but I sure wish our receivers would run long enough routes, for first downs, 2 point conversions, or whatever the case may be.

It pisses me off, and happens quite often.

Ok, back to enjoying the win.

I'm hot and cold. Love them one minute. Hate them the next. Great freaking win. Best I can remember in a few years

Kyle Long on #Bears attitude change this year: "You gotta just wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and say, I am a bad ###.

Thats alshons job when he gets back.... whenever he does come back. As an outsider looking in I'm shocked you guys actually won. Great win though

I was at the game today (my two kids first Bears game, we live in KC) and there was an alarming number of Bears fans. Awesome game at the end, though hard to watch at the beginning. Brutal play by the O-line today...just brutal. But great win even without any decent receivers. Jay was the man in the 4th quarter and he never had any time to throw at all.

That's awesome

In 0-3 start, #Bears surrendered 61 2nd-half points. During 2-game win streak, Fangios unit has yielded combined 6 after halftime.

Bears coaches and GM sux....they should start Clausen over Cutler. Just ask RBM .... clearly Clausen gives us the best chance to win a game. We all saw how he almost pulled it off in Seattle....hopefully they fire Pace and Fox and cut Cutler after this season so we can all watch Clausen lead this team to the promised land. So what if Slauson thinks Cutler is awesome, Long thinks Cutler is awesome, Bennett thinks Cutler is Jesus....the owners need to listen to RBM. So many educated Bear fans know Cutler is a useless hack.

It's amazing how you have this talent for posting as if you've never watched a Bear game prior to today. You're so confident. Impressive.

Keep posting...please

Hey Sweetness....how awesome was Jay in that 2nd half today? WE'RE ####### SET BRO!

Instead of getting on each other we should be rejoicing in the fact that we've got our star QB who is going to take this franchise to multiple Super a Bowl victories! He was worth that ####### contract. Let's get Emery back baby!!!
