Here are my stadium power rankings based off atmosphere and stadium. 5 being high and 1 being at a USF game.

1. Neyland - 9 (5 for atmosphere and 4 for stadium)

2. Big House - 8 (3, 5)

3. Swamp - 7.5 (5, 2.5)

4. Rose Bowl - 7 (2, 5)

5. Doak - 7 (4, 3)

6. Orange Bowl - 6 (3, 3)

7. Whatever it is called where Wake Forest plays - 4 (1, 3)

8. Raymond James for college non-bowl game - 2 (1, 1)
I've been to Doak, BB&T (wake forest), and Raymond James from that list. My rankings (I'll leave Clemson out for obvious #1 homer reasons):

1. Sanford (UGA)

2. Kyle Field (aTm) - this one maybe could have been higher but we were like in the very top corner. Someone told me it was the highest point for 100 miles in any direction

3. Doak

4. Williams Brice - would be higher for the rival games, lower for non (I've seen prob 8 games here)

5. Bobby Dodd (GT)

6. NC State

7. BB&T

All the pro stadiums are kinda the same - the kickoff classics and peach bowls at the GA Dome are fun, though.
Sanford is high on my list now. We were going to do Clemson for the FSU game next month but now reconsidering. Not sure I want to spend the time and money to see us get thumped.

Sanford is fun. I was there for a Clemson game (not as much fun) but went to some other games with buddies of mine and had a blast. I went to one of the better games I've ever seen awhile back. It was Auburn at UGA 2003-ish maybe? Jasper Sanks got stuffed at the goal line and UGA never got another play off. It was a hell of a game.Edit: apparently it was 2001 - http://espn.go.com/college-football/game?gameId=213140061

I know you guys miss my Saturday hot college football takes, but life is getting in the way of gambling and CFB this season so I'm not as available.

But here is what I saw today:

-Navy is a really good team, should be ranked, and probably will take the Irish to the gun next week

-Oklahoma is better than the pundits thought but still a year away

-Michigan can beat Michigan State in 2015, because even if you think Harbaugh is a witch, he's the baddest witch ever (Urban Meyer is a zombie, let's not compare them).

-It's hilarious to see Notre Dame lose, this is pretty much something every college football fan can agree on. They could be playing ISIS U and I wouldn't root for those pretentious pricks.

-Alabama beat a horrible Georgia team but now they are a "top 5" team again because people who vote in the polls are morons. SEC West sans LSU is overrated to the point it makes me physically sick.

-The Texas DB who retweeted the TAMU fan's post about recruiting at the half is so awesome. Texas football is a laughingstock right now, but they still aren't the :tfp: Georgia is. Enjoy another 10-3 season with an Outback Bowl win Georgia, you ####### deserve it!

-Fournette is a beast, but Elliot is his equal. Don't over-think it, just watch.

-We knew Oregon football would miss Chip Kelly, but they'll miss him even more in three years when they are losing at home to Colorado. That's coming.

-UCLA should be in the SEC West, how anyone thought they were any good is mind-boggling.

-Hawaii's uniforms were terrific, so were Baylor's

-Speaking of Baylor, they are the best team in the country. They have big physical line play on both sides of the ball and they are faster than everyone else. I will be surprised if they lose a game this year (includes playoffs).

I drove by the Rose Bowl in the middle of the afternoon in July and it didn't seem like a very easy in and out. Can only imagine on game day.
It is the f'in worst. Seriously, 2+ hours to go a couple hundred feet into the parking lots at the UCLA/USC game. I doubt I'll ever go to another UCLA football game there again.

Agree with Neyland, but Rose Bowl is #1 for me....

I'm sure the rose bowl GAME would make it #1, but I sat through UCLA and Arizona State. Only going off what I can go off of.

I would rate my road trips so far as ...

1. Big House ... just a fantastic experience all around, and Michigan fans were great.

2. South Bend ... we were just there last week, terrific campus, people were friendlier than expected, stadium not quite as impressive as No. 1.

3. Brice-Williams ... it was 18 years ago, so going off memory. Tailgating probably was the best of the bunch.

4. Penn State ... stadium is big, but wasn't particular memorable. Fans really into it, but they had a bit more of an edge to them.

Friends who made the trip tell me that the atmosphere at Camp Randall was as good as any of the others, but I missed out.

Can't wait to hopefully hit the Swamp next year (and a return to S. Carolina), then Neyland in 2017, to see how they compare.

Two best road trips I had were Penn State and TAMU. Penn State was last year vs Ohio State and the crowd was nutty awesome, and TAMU was when they upset OU in 2002.

Love it and miss it.

Anyone care to take a stab at the top 10. Quite a few shakeups.

My guess:

1. Ohio State

2. TCU

3. Baylor

4. Michigan State

5. LSU

6. Utah

7. Clemson

8. Florida State

9. Alabama

10. Oklahoma

11. Texas A&M

12. Ole Miss

13. Notre Dame

14. Northwestern

15. USC

16. Georgia

So I went further but tried to guess where the former top ten teams would land.

SEC is beating up on each other early this season. When we look back in 20 years it's going to really make Alabamas run seem all that more impressive. A single dominant team coming out of the SEC is going to be rare.

There is just so much good talent spread out to so many teams. The only way it happens is if an elite QB like Cam or Winston comes along.

I don't know if it's changed in the last 3-4 years but how can you give somewhere that has 3 freaking urinals in the bathroom a 4 for stadium? If you go to take a leak with 3 minutes left in the half at Neyland you won't get back to your seat until half way through the 3rd quarter. Much easier to just find a Tennessee fan to piss on.

Well, as a Bruin fan I said last week UCLA was overrated. We'll still have our share of wins this year (hopefully including the Trojans) but we were never in the conversation for the playoffs. Part of that is too many injuries to the defense, too many NFL quality guys out. But the main reason is Rosen. Still only a true freshman, still learning, still prone to error. Give him a year or two, then we can talk.

Capella, sorry you had to watch such a lousy game. Hope you had a good time though. It was a lot cooler than its been for these day games so that was nice for a change.

Feel so bad for Nebraska right now - I LOVE Mike Riley, way better for the University than Bo Pelini - but 2-3 will have this state in a deep depression - especially losing to Illinois.
Hippling this. I like Mike Riley also. He's just not a good football coach. Seriously, he's just not. One of the worst coaching performances EVER yesterday. Super nice guy though.
Has there ever been a worse chain reaction of coaching changes? We're just about at the point where Oregon State, Nebraska and Wisconsin would ALL agree to trade back for the previous coaches.

Neyland has had several huge "troughs" for years. No idea what you're talking about.

LSU run game will be controlled at some point. While B. Harris is much better then A. Jennings, Les Miles is not giving Harris the game situations he will face in those games. For example the last two weeks it seems like Les based what he was going to do each series. He came out throwing the ball 3 straight times. Other series he will run 3 straight times having success with each initially. What about a pass following a decent run? Frustrating, and it will cost them against Bama or other run stout teams.

That and about 6 dropped passes last night from our WRs. Maybe because of the lack of passing in game situations or maybe lack of focus against a weaker opponent. Either way, can't happen.

1. Baylor

2. TCU

3. Michigan St

4. OSU

5. LSU

6. Utah

7. Clemson

8. Texas A&M

9. Oklahoma

10. Florida

Somewhere around 14-17. Alabama

The amount of time spent on reviews is excruciating. They are turning 3:15 of game into four full hours now, awful. Six minutes to review last OU TD.
OMG, that was horrible. Three hours and forty five minutes. So much waiting around. I can't imagine having to play a game like that.

This was in the visitor's section so maybe they just #### us over on purpose.

Of 127 FBS schools, 6 have led by 13+ every game. Florida St, Baylor, LSU, Navy, Temple & Tennessee

The first 5 are a combined 20-0. UT is 2-3.

LSU hasnt beaten anyone thats very good. Syracuse is their best win, i guess. Auburn stinks, Mississippi State isn't great. I think LSU is overrated at 5-7 where they are ranked. However, im having a tough time finding 10 teams that deserve to be in the top 10 right now.
