**Official 2015 Masters Thread** PICK SPIETH OR DAY AND BET (1 Viewer)

Would you take Spieth and Day or the field right now?

This tournament is on my must-see list for this weekend.

My wife agrees!

Apparently my form of sorcery is effective!

After the opening bogey at 1 it looks like Day has a reasonable putt for eagle at 2. That would certainly get him back on track

ETA: Made the putt according to twitter, moves him to -6.

Striped the next drive too. I don't know if I'd take him at even money over Spieth right now but given the way he's playing and his history at Augusta it's pretty close.

Spieth benefiting from getting out early today. It is going to put a lot of pressure on the afternoon guys if he is sitting at -12 or better after his round.

JS birdies 8 to go to -3 for the day.

Is it on TV or are we limited to masters.com until ESPN?

I watching the track feature on an exercise bike. Well back and forth between live coverage and track.

Bogey at 6 moves Day back to -5. Starting to look less like a Day/Spieth show over the weekend and more like a coronation.
There's a lot of golf to play.
Oh, sure. Just saying having those guys at the top of the leaderboard is different because they were also pre-tournament favorites. A lot harder to picture people running down those guys than, say, Charley Hoffman, who's currently alone in second at -7.

Day looks like he's in more trouble now on #7, longish putt for par maybe? Could be moving to -4. Will have to repeat yesterday's Back 9 to stay within striking distance.

The field is always the better bet.
Still think so?
Not saying Spieth won't win this.

But if every time you were faced with a "this team" or "the field," bet, you'd come out ahead in the long run betting the field. It's just playing the odds.

Even betting the field vs. Tiger in his majors-winning years, you would have won.

You can take that to the bank brohan.
