I agree with this. The picks are only going to rise in value over the next few months. It's risky of course, but there's a lot of upside as well. 2 and 5 last year got you Mike Evans and somebody like Jordan Matthews/Carlos Hyde/Davante Adams/Kelvin Benjamin.
The 2 this year should get you either Gurley or whoever eventually emerges as the top WR. By May, the gap between Gurley/topWR and Jeffery is probably going to be fairly narrow. Not 1.05 worth of a gap.
I have Calvin and Lacy dead even in my latest trade value rankings, so I definitely like the side getting the 1.02.
(Assuming we're talking a 2 RB/3 WR league, normal PPR scoring, etc.)

This is pretty even for me. I would take Cobb if I was going for title and I would be happy with the picks if I was a year or to away. Surprised that 2 1st's is considered a good deal for Jeffery and not for Cobb.

This deal is not equal to what was paid for jeffrey. "two 1sts" doesnt just mean any two 1sts.

Based on recent ADP and rankings I'd say it's even, but I would think that Adams' value will take quite the drop as soon as Cobb re-signs.So, it sounds pretty even then.
Adams looked great in the playoffs though, so I guess maybe that's why people are so high on him. But to me his value is totally dependent on what happens with Cobb. I feel this is buying low on Floyd and it's a good exit on Adams if you're afraid that Cobb will stay.

Jeez I think lacy might be more valuable than Calvin straight up. lacy might actually have more years left of top production, he's one of a handful of true stud backs who run and catch, and green bay should stay good as long as Rodgers is there. some people are still a little skittish about lacy getting hurt, but Calvin is hardly the picture of health. And while the running back scene is somewhat barren, receiver is just getting stronger and deeper.
Add in the 1.2 pick, and you could have a stud backfield for years. That gives you so much flexibility, too - if you want to enjoy that backfield for a year or two, then trade a stud back, you should get great exit value. Calvin's value is likely declining and 1.6 is a crap shoot.

Just curious as to how the contender made out last year. If he was only a RB away from a good run, Joique Bell was the 4th best RB option from weeks 13-16. May have worked out nicely for both teams. I would certainly pay the 1.08 for a championship.
ETA- This is the exact reason I focus more on drafting WRs and trading for RBs. You can usually acquire a Joique Bell/Matt Asiata type at mid season for a late 1st or even a 2nd rounder. Better to build around WRs and "rent" RBs IMO. Unless a Lacy/Bell falls into your lap of course.

Assuming that 1st was his own, then yes, he did not fair well. That would indicate he needed more than a RB to make a strong run.

Right now would also take Watkins over 1.2 but Moncrief seals the deal and I'd rather have him and the pick.
Looking at some trades that have been posted I'm starting to think Moncrief is a good guy to go after, I'm thinking people are overreacting to the Duron Carter signing.

I have to go with Moncrief and the pick. Watkins is a stud, but 1.02 will be too, and Moncrief should have a huge opportunity in a perfect passing offense this season.

I made 2 trades today in the FFPC 1.5PPR for TEs, 12 teams, 14 man cutdown on March 1st plus a K and DST.
I traded:
Crowell, Marquess Wilson and 2.6
for
Deandre Hopkins, Pierre Thomas, 4.11, 4.12, and 2016 3rd
Then I did a subsequent trade:
Gio and D. Hopkins
for Jimmy Graham.
This pairs Graham with Gronk on my team. I'm pretty excited but hope I didn't give up too much. My RBs are thin but I hope through the draft and FA to find a few serviceable ones to lead me to playoff success.
Thoughts?

That was a steal for Hopkins initially, then I think an overpay for Graham, especially since you already have Gronk. I haven't done a 1.5 PPR TE league though, so it might be worth it to lock up those two TEs. But I really like Hopkins, and if you're already thin at RB, I don't think I'd trade a good PPR back like Gio along with Hopkins, even for Graham.

I like consolidating players in that format. Any time you don't have to give up any elite fantasy players to get an elite player, you've probably done something good. Only thing with consolidating into graham is that he's teetering on the perception of being on the down side of his career. once that happens his exit value is shot. Might be worth exploring post cut down trades if you can get one or more elite players.

TEs can dominate in this format. I'd like to think Graham has 3-4 more dominating years. His 85 catches feel like 128 when you factor in 1.5PPR.

RBs seem to be undervalued based on trade offers in this league. Hoping through draft and FA, I can cobb together something less than embarrassing at RB.

I'm honestly asking. My concern with floyd isn't Fitz, it's Fitz, brown and brown, and Palmer or the qbotd plus the tough division and their excellent defense. I think most would agree. I'm willing to write off 2014 if there's a compelling reason, but I honestly don't watch the cards enough to know if that exists. You said you're a believer - is it short term, long term, just a believer in his talent?
Yeah not sure what to tell you except I love being able to buy him for almost half of what it cost last year.
Basically I tend to find the community (general statement) fluctuates more on player values year to year than my personal rankings.
Last year I remember specifically from a few discussions I was involved in, that you had to add a mid-late 1st to Hopkins to get Allen and now one year later you need to add the 1st to the Allen side and the pick may have to be better (like early-mid 1st). To me they are still the same players so selling Hopkins for Allen is a deal I would make as I don't see a large gap between them despite their past seasons. Same applies for Floyd for me.
I am not even a big Moncrief fan but the value of Floyd +1.08-1.12(moncrief) for Hopkins I think improves my team overall. I will own wearing egg on my face when I am wrong about a player.
