I gave up Foles and the 5th rounder for Kaep. I have Kaep at #15 and Foles at #21 so it was kind of a "meh" move. There is some homerism since I'm a Niners fan, but I have worries with both QB's. STL could easily draft a QB to replace Foles if he struggles in a non-Chip offense. Kaep has me nervous because he really was not very good last year and I think he is mentally inadequate for an NFL QB. The upside is still there, though.

I'm the one who traded Calvin. My reasoning was my team needed depth and I had to trade a stud to do that. I also got younger in the deal. The days of Calvin pulling in a major haul are gone, his age is the reason his value is slipping. I feel I got a decent package for him though.

Run more? Hasn't he been working with Warner in the offseason with emphasis on pocket presence?

The coaching staff has been saying they'll use his legs more. I assume that means more designed runs.

Technically HE made the mistake and accepted trade, but yes I agree in retrospect. This league is tough because no one seems to have any interest in Charles at all. It's just bizarre. He countered with Charles, Jordan Matthews, and 3rd rounder for those LBs and picks. Had to scratch my head.

Not a rebuild, just building depth. Garcon, Floyd, and 1.04 gives me startable depth. Garcon was just depth, hopefully don't ever have to start him but won't be upset if I have to. Floyd is a young guy with upside, same with 1.04. Lets just place any of the players from last year's draft and place them in for 1.04.

Mike Evans, Carlos Hyde, Odell Beckham, Brandon Cooks, Tre Mason are all guys that I saw around 1.04 last year. Of course it all hinges on hitting with that 1.04, but I took the gamble that I will. If I do, I can easily come out ahead in this deal. For now, I agree that I'm on the losing end.

Adams typically went later than that (his ADP was 13th overall). If anything his value should have decreased since then since a hefty part of his value at the time was the notion that Cobb was in the last year of his deal and might not be re-signed.

1.06 is probably going to net a 1st round NFL WR on a team where he can immediately start or a 2nd round RB in a great situation.

I hate Kaep. I have never had him ranked as a top 10QB and unlikley I ever will. I think he is a terrible QB but he is a great athlete and has upside. He is the boom/bust type guy that can play well in stretches and could be a major factor in winning games but less than reliable at a position I would value stability more than most.

Still think he is better than Foles though

Both guys are "big" name QB's because they had an incredible stretch of games early in their careers that might actually have been their peaks

I was hoping to get some value out of Freeman prior to draft. I like Freeman but he would plummet if (when) they draft another RB. The WR's are bye-week fillers and ultimately I wanted to improve my starting lineup.
