**Official** 2015 Washington Redskins Thread YOU LIKE THAT! (1 Viewer)

The Redskins really have a big opportunity tonight. If they win, they will be sole possession of first place and have all the tie breakers working in their favor. They can also put an end to any talk of the Cowboys running the table and making the playoffs. The Cowboys would be 3 games back and lose any tie breakers with the Redskins.

If the Redskins lose, they will be tied with Giants and Eagles and 5-7 and the Cowboys will be one game back at 4-8. They will right in the middle of a quadmire of the NFC East.

The Redskins are the last hope for the division not to look like a ridiculously weak division.

Yup. We'll really see what this team is made of tonight. A win could really put them in a nice position going forward. Essentially a 2 game lead with 4 games left. A loss, and everyone in the division is right back in it with 4 weeks to go. Not taking this game for granted at all. Dallas' defense is still pretty solid and they can run the ball. I think we win, but it's going to be a close 24-20 game.

In addition to the Redskins winning, I could really use a shootout showcasing Jordan Reed and Dez Bryant. If those 2 can combine to approximate the statistical output of Buck Allen and Allen Robinson, I could win enough $ to host a top shelf happy hour at a high-end establishment for the lot of us, as well as the regulars who populate the Washington, DC FFA Thread...

In short, this is Code Red.

CODE RED I SAY!

Part of being a better team is winning the games your supposed to win. Also on there is not being disfunctional on national TV. I think even more than winning the division(because honestly, we arent going anywhere in the playoffs even it we make it) is that we start looking and playing like a real team instead of embarrasing ourselves. Thats what i am looking forward to seeing tonight and really for the remainder of the season. If we play strong and lose to better teams, im cool with that. We will learn alot tonight.

Who thought we would be talking like this in week13.

This team has taken big strides this year and i want to see them continue to grow.

HTTR

You can never have a winning record if you don't win two in a row. Washington needs to take that step of getting on a winning streak before anyone is going to take them seriously. They have a prime chance tonight. Before this season I thought for sure that Jay Gruden would never do much as a head coach. If he can get them to win in a primetime game that they should win, then I may start to change my opinion of him. Good luck you guys.

Stoked. Meaningful Monday night game in December and its against the cowboys? Dont get much better.

Heard that the last time the skins were in sole possession of 1st in December was in 99. Crazy stat.

As a Cowboy fan this game is like a bad car accident. I am going to slow down to gawk at it, but am hardly stoked for it.

GL, will be back after with post game thoughts.

DeSHaun jackson......haha

I can laugh cuz we suck and this was prolly as good as it gets for us.....the nfc east is a joke right now

What a dumb game. That was terrible playcalling, complete waste of receiving talent. And poor AlMo, one week he's the bell cow with 20+ carries, the next week they just give up on him. And Hopkins and special teams choked. Ridiculous.

Well, they are who we thought they were. It's clear this team is still not ready for the big stage. Not that any of us thought that going into the season. But last night showed we're just not ready.

Horrible, awful, terrible play calling on offense. Dallas was blitzing like crazy all night. Where were the screens to WRs and RBs? Quick slants? Draws? We did nothing on offense to make them pay for blitzing.

We force 3 TOs and I think we scored 3 points off of them. Got the ball in prime position after the first McFadden fumble and went 3 & out.

We were clearly out coached and it's not like Garrett is some mastermind. Just awful.

I can't even blame DeSean since we went right back down the field and tied the game and it looked like OT was for certain. Then, Hopkins doesn't kick it through the end zone and we forget to tackle on ST and give them a great chance to win the game and they did.

Damn it

I know we're not a good team but we just had the best opportunity in the world to go up essentially 2 games with 4 to go and we just lay a turd in the middle of the field. Yes, I know missed field goal, fumble, etc. etc. but don't forget Dallas made tons of mistakes as well. The real thing to me is we can't muster more than 9 points the first three and a half quarters? I know Dallas' defense is good but if we had any offense at all early on that games not even there to squander in the end.

Very disappointing. I agree "we are who we thought we were."

The way Dallas was blitzing I just wanted to throw that little RB screen to Matt Jones that he's so good at. F --

This game hurts. That said, believe it or not, technically we are still in first place. At 5-7. That's just embarrassing for the entire division.

Next week begins the last quarter of the season. It's basically a 4 game sprint for all 4 teams...whoever wins the most earns the right to get routed by Seattle at home.

Nobody won this game, no one is going anywhere. It was nothing but bizarre entertainment for a couple hours.
Bankerguy, you are always classy in these threads...thanks for that. That said, Dallas has been hobbled this year due to Romo injury but your defense definitely has a lot going for it and basically won that game for you. Something for you guys to look forward to next year when your QB is healthy again.

Why does Gruden hate Alf? No check that why does Gruden hate us fans. Because whenever we don't run Alf, we're sure to lose. WTF. I'm just bitter this morning.

No jig for me.

This is one of the things that bothers me the most. Alf has a track record of being a strong runner if you give him the touches. Yet you dont run him. Baffling.

I don't even care about the standings at this point. We're 5-7 and just blew our best chance at winning the division. Now, 3 of the last 4 games are on the road. We've got to win at least 2 of them if we're going to have any real chance at making the playoffs.

23 carries last week and we won. 6 carries for Alf this week and all of them were in the 1st quarter. ####### stupid.

Sean Lee gets overlooked too. That Defense is completely different when he's on the field.

It certainly seems like this division is a contest to see who can poop their pants the least.

:kicksrock:

Dallas's kicking return game and kickoff coverage game is far superior to that of the Redskins. Even with the boneheaded offensive playcalling by Gruden the outcome would probably have been different if not for that.

Gruden sticking Alfred Morris on the bench is just baffling. It never works, and he does it time and time again.

On the bright side I got to hear Larry Michael be stupid twice on the pre-game show. He called Terrance Knighton "Chuck Roast". And then in his history lesson he informed listeners that only 3 NFL teams played on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7, 1941. Think about that.

He corrected himself shortly afterward.

I'm sure we'll hear the usual homers on radio saying "they're still right in the thick of it" but honestly this team is not going to get to .500. They are not even average yet. Last night answered any hopes of that.
