Official 2016 GOP thread: Is it really going to be Donald Trump?? (1 Viewer)

Christie supports the War on Drugs, War on Terror, and the undeclared war on privacy.

sounds like 70% of that stage
Yep. The thing is, it also describes Hillary's record pretty well. She has no compunction about changing positions to get elected, of course, but being able to draw a distinction against both the paleo conservative dinosaurs and the Democrats is a pretty neat trick. Too bad there aren't more (or better) candidates espousing those positions.
Hillary will draw some right-wing vagina though, you have to do the calculus on the vagina.

Trump is getting through this whole debate without substantive talk about what he would do. He's winning. Nice shank at Christie there too.

Watch out for Kasich.

Very quietly he has moved into third place in New Hampshire. He has also risen up the polls to the point where he should- just barely- eke into the top 10 in time for the first debate.

Kasich is a serious candidate that the GOP "establishment" could get behind- yet the conservative base doesn't detest him the way they do Jeb Bush. I've thought all along that Scott Walker was the guy who could unite the party, but maybe Kasich could as well...
He did himself a HUGE a favor tonight by acknowledging that Trump has hit a nerve with a large group of the American people. It's clear he has and for some of these guys to deny that makes them delusional. Maybe he can snag some of that group if/when Trump flames out.

Trump has by far faced the most difficult questions tonight, and done an outstanding job turning them into positive sound bites. Those that support Trump have only more reason to do so after this debate.

What's Cristie doing with the lime green wrist band?
MD Governor Larry Hogan has cancer and that wrist band is a Hogan's Heroes band in support of his recivery. They are good friends.
I voted for Hogan in Maryland. Does this mean Rubio will get ball cancer too?
Most Likely.

In a serious vain, Hillary's campaign reminds me Alot of Anthony Borwn's and that sends a chill down my spine thinking of what may be in 2016. I hope a level head like Kasich or Rubio is the Repub nominee and not some nut ball like Cruz. Makes for a softer landing.
