You can try to build a case that the conference still had a nice season (however flawed that case may be), but the hype was so out of proportion with the performance; and that is why the rest of the country wants to spend the rest of March reminding ACC people (ESPN and the sports radio world that takes cues from ESPN, et al) not that the ACC is the worst conference ever, but how embarrassingly wrong they were that the ACC was the "best conference ever"
