I'm of the rare opinion that 95% of cornerbacks don't really alter a team all that much.  Just get decent corners and you're fine, unless you can find a true shutdown.

As such, it's a waste of the Brees window to get a cornerback that doesn't significantly alter the team.

Bottom line.  If NO is going 8-8 before the pick, they are going 8-8 after the pick.

Interesting trade.  I said all off-season that, if I was the Browns, and Kizer was not an option, I'd trade DOWN from 12, to later in the first round and grab more picks.  Then I'd trade the new 1st rounder to the Patriots for JG.  That way, you aren't spending a true first rounder to get him.  You got picks back.
