*** Official 2017 NFL Draft Thread *** Bears pay a steep price for their franchise QB (1 Viewer)

Because of Spencer Ware? He really sucked the last 2/3 of the season. There is a big opportunity there IMO.
Because now there are three guys there that Andy Reid could, at any moment, decide to give the bulk of the workload to.   Reid is gonna reid no matter who it is, but he could have at least waited until the 6th and done it with Dayes or someone.

Stop. You act like you were expecting every player to go to a spot where they were the featured guy.  Like any year there's some to like and some to be disappointed with.  I think there's more to like than normal.
Which spots do you like?   I'll give you Davis in Tennessee.  Then what? Is Jacksonville the second best landing spot anyone had?

Mcshay just said Jordain Lewis was the best player on the board 30 picks ago

Kind of was. If you want mirror and match, few are better. Lewis is a little slow (not Teez level) and short, but he is glue. Also, unlike a lot of these giant CBs, Lewis is willing to mix it up in tackling.

los packaderos are quietly and sneakilly having a pretty danged good draft and i gots me a feeling ole teddy is just getting warmed up take that to the land of cheese bank brochachos

Fournette, McCaffrey, Mixon, Cook all went to good spots where they'll be the starter.

Davis of course. I'm not afraid of LAC's depth chart, so I like Williams or Cincinnati so I like Ross. JJ-SS is in a great spot for a #2.

Watson will start sooner rather than later in Houston.

Howard, Njoku, and Engram are all in line to start.

 I'll take all the 1sts that people don't want.

I don't necessarily disagree with you Andy, but it would be nice if some of these guys where they went to situations were there was NO ONE else to steal carries. I know the days of the bell cow back are done. Being a Packer fan, I have no idea why they haven't taken a back yet..I'm not sold at all on Ty Montgomery. Regardless, Fournette is the only back of all of these that I can forsee getting 20-25 + carries per game. I mean Cook will be splitting with Latavius, Mixon with Gio(and perhaps Hill), Kamara went to a terrible situation. That being said in PPR leagues i can see the value in some of these guys, but in a dynasty league like mine where it's essentially TD's or nothing(some yardage points), and sitting on picks 1 &2, I thought my choices would be obvious..Fournette for sure, then either Mixon or Cook, and now I'm not sure I can justify taking either one of them over Davis(I do have Mariota).

IMO you have nothing to fear from Murray (he got a 1 year contract) or Gio (best suited as a rotational 3rd down back).

Kamara's initial situation is disappointing but you'll see that AP is finished and they clearly want to move on from Ingram.

Just watched some Galladay. He is a beast. Nice pick. A guy with that size and athleticism is well deserving of  a 3rd rd pick. Check this dude for fantasy.

Haven't looked at many teams yet but Saints appear to have done quite well.

Ravens - all defense. What does that tell us about their offense?

Dallas/GB/Ind/Oak/Phi/Wax - getting the defensive help they need.

Denver - Elway's GM star is fading a bit, IMO

Ten - decent players but I'm not seeing the plan here

LAC - finally some linemen

LAR - Still no linemen

At this point in time he should be milking the boos. Make it part of his persona since it isn't going to go away. Be the pro wrestling heel.
Gary Bettman has perfected this.

The year the Devils hosted the draft was the year they traded their first round pick for Cory Schneider.  Bettman steps to the podium and everyone boos. "There is a trade" (booooooooo) "you're gonna want to hear this"

Even I had to begrudingly give him credit for that line :)

Bengals hitting needs so far.  Just need Mixon not to be a garbage person going forward though :/

I will say as someone pointed out on twitter pretty appropriate to see Jim Brown take the podium not long after Mixon was drafted.  Nothing at all inconsistent from the league or fans there...
