A-

Love the Jeffery signing and the ravens trade. Draft was a B for me... which isn't a bad thing.
I couldn't really put a grade on the draft. I just looked at the picks and positions. We hit key areas and we'll see how that plays out.

As far as FA we did fantastic as far as I'm concerned. That's from both a player and contract perspective. Kept OL and surrounded Carson with weapons while seemingly losing nothing.

I'm gonna take my chances on Stuhub. Usually get a good deal. My Uncle has my Pop-Pops season tickets and won't be able to go to the Christmas Day game most likely as his family goes to his in laws and my aunts mom isn't in the best of healthy. Greek Orthodox and his father in law typical old fashion expects his wife to do everything for him and he's had issues himself. When the nurse is there or family he acts like he can't do anything himself and expects his wife who can barely get up without losing her breath to cook him dinner and all. Long story short they go up to Long Island for Christmas on Christmas day. I have nothing to do Christmas day maybe Grandmom comes to the house and I have a really good friend who's Jewish who has nothing better to do on Christmas anyway. Hoping I can get those tickets to the Raiders game and see if I can get one other myself through Stubhub.
Liar

He doesn't seem like a scheme fit but it's nice to add a veteran bruiser until we see what we have.
He's basically just replacing Mathews as the big back nothing more. He's a 1 yr stop gap upgrade for short yardage and goalline and replaces a player who's injured and probably won't play a down in the league again. I thought I read somewhere that NE tagged Blount and would get a Comp pick if signed before July 22 which is why Bal didn't sign him last week. I could be wrong.

I think he does. Look at the Patriots. Over the last few years they have never been a power run team but used Blount on many key drives. Seems to be a guy that keeps defenses off balance between Blount and the smaller backs.

Another type of mismatch. If they stack their defense to stop Pumphrey then Blount should run all over them. Likewise if they stack to stop Blount.
NE seems to have comparable players to us in terms of Backs style wise too so maybe Pederson envisions him how NE did. I've wanted Blount for yrs and when Chip got here and Blount was an FA I thought for sure with his Oregon biased we take him. I'd have preferred him then Murray at the time too.

I like the signing.  He's better than Mathews
I like Mathews out of College and he had a lot of potential but always got hurt. In funny story I'm in a keeper league and I had Gronk. I dangled him one year just to see what kind of bites I'd take. Well lets just say there was only one really good offer that came through but didn't take it and the next year I forget who I traded and what picks but ended up adding Jordy Nelson to my Aaron Rodgers and Gronk. Anyway one of the trades someone sent me included Ryan Mathews and some other scrub. Seriously at the time I'm making the best #1 TE in fantasy and the actual league available and this is the offers people are giving me for him? I'm just glad i wasn't an idiot and still to this day have Gronk.

I'd like to know what the base salary is, but overall I don't see any way to be against this deal.

Nice offensive upgrades this offseason: Jeffrey, Smith, Blount, Hollins, Pumphrey.  Upgrades in speed at WR and size in the backfield, both major things they lacked.

I saw it was $2.3 or something BGN had it in their first article of the day on it.

Now that our off season seems to be pretty much over, how do you think Howie and Co. did? I give them a solid A
It's an A.  They have addressed every need in some way.  Not many holes on this roster.  Nice work

Except our biggest need.
Can't think what you mean. I think they did a good job of filling holes and adding for the future without over investing anywhere. Only draft pick I'd consider a potential reach was Pumphrey, but they clearly targeted him with that pick so they have a plan for using him, right or wrong.

Pants on fire.

What more could they have done in one off season?  The past 2 off seasons have been amazing considering the junk roster that crap master chip Kelly left us with. I'm very happy with the work they have done.

Not complaining, I'm very happy with this offseason.  Would have liked to see some more immediate impact CB's is all.  Overall very good though

Apparently Marcus Smith is skipping too, but Pederson never mentioned it and no one in the media noticed until the end of practice.
Lol if there's ever a guy that shouldn't be skipping it's him. But no one will care except in the hope he was cut.

OTA's started today. Only Peters and Cox weren't there.

ALSO NFL Owners Meetings

* OT now 10 Mins instead of 15.

* 2 players instead of 1 can comeback from IR each year after 8 weeks on and can come back to practice after 6

AND FINALLY THE BIG ONE

*Lets celebrate!!! NO REALLY NFL says Group Celebrations are now allowed again, ground celebrations and using the ball as a prop. NFL is relaxing on Celebration penalties.

So Cox is taking the voluntary at it's meaning and skipping OTAs for the Caribbean.
And the media is making a bigger deal out of it then needs to be. They are Voluntary for a reason. Get back to me when he starts missing Mandatory camp and Training Camp then we have a story.

There are some unwritten things in work places. When preferential treatment is given to one person over another, people notice. It causes unrest.

The guy that gets paid the most on the team and is supposed to be a leader on defense just said nah you guys gut it out while I go chill on the beach. I'm sure that will sit real well with the rest of them.

Another thing to point out was Fletcher's greeting to Barnett via Twitter.  He didn't say welcome or congrats. He said I like my steaks well done.

Jon Ritchie was pointing out how he just thinks of himself as above the team.

That may be a stretch. The only thing this does is confirm that Feltcher may not be very bright. Scheduling a vacation when you should be at OTA's and wanting steak well done? Yeah, he's not bright.

I agree. Bit of hyperbole but Ritchie was a player. So he knows how a locker room can react. I guess it's a matter of whether today's type of player cares. Again if Fletch comes out and gets double digit sacks, no one will care. But this is up there with sconces as far as the lame meter goes.

Comes off as a major ### hole there.  Again if he produces no one will care but that is a warning flag for sure

This dude is really souring with me. He was great last September than almost ordinary after that. Highest paid athlete in Phily! Correct me if I'm wrong but has it ever worked for any team to throw huge money at interior D-linemen?

As as mush as we are happy with Howie, he's invested A TON in curry, cox and Ertz and so far none of them are worth it.

Yea. It's easy to see why he paid them because it was his first draft class. So he's doubling down hoping they prove him smart. As the years go on though, they are painfully average at best so far.  They still have time though.

Oh trust me I get that especially about the preferential Treatment. Seen it at my job. I don't care what he does as long as he's then for the things the league says he really needs to be. I'd have been fine if he wasn't posting about his trip on social media. I think thats where most of the issue is.

I see that nothing more then a little Rookie hazing however he's killing his steak.

That could be it but some of the best players were full of themselves. Honestly would any of this be a story if the Phillies were good and we had good sports stuff in this city to talk about? I love how my favorite sport is the #1 biggest in this city but one of the negatives about it is the media makes so many small things bigger then they should be.

Yea - and given all the other departures, we did kinda have to do something here, after the Chip Kelly gutting, if those guys left too, we'd be a 4 win team.

Realistically though - Cox has 3 years on his deal before he needs to prove he's worth it.  Ertz has two.  If Curry doesn't prove it this year, he's gone next year. (might be anyway with Barnett in the fold)

I don't understand the Ertz hate here. To me it looked like Ertz and Wentz developed some great chemistry and friendship last season.

He's no Gronkowski or Kelse but he's far from being cut or traded.

I would expect Wentz to rely heavy on Ertz as the third option on plays not designed for Ertz.

Without a doubt Wentz trust Ertz to make plays.

Plus he has bad taste in steak preparation.

It was the 13 weeks of falling down to avoid tackles and getting out of the way instead of blocking.  This will be the third year in a row we're hoping the end of last season carries over for him.

I agree I don't see all the hate either. I know he hasn't lived up to expectations but he's not a bad player.
