Howie Roseman said the #Eagles believe that Sidney Jones will make a full recovery, but they aren't going to put a timetable on return.
God I hate that term. What a fraud that GM was. Him and Chip would make a great pairing. Nothing but two snake oil salesmaen.Trust the process!![]()
The guy in the orange tie announcing picks is Vincent I think.Who is that weasel guy on NFL network with the orange tie? His voice is so grating and he has absolutely zero to add to anything.
That GM put that team in a better position than anyone could have hoped for.God I hate that term. What a fraud that GM was. Him and Chip would make a great pairing. Nothing but two snake oil salesmaen.
No, he's one of the studio guys on the side they throw to once in awhile. The guy in the orange tie announcing picks is Vincent I think.
They swapped with the Ravens in the Jernigan deal, right?Remind me what happened with our 3rd round pick at the normal spot?

Not really how many games will Embiid play?I love the player and was on record with many who didn't want him they had to take him because of potential but he's been getting hurt so much how long will he last? I don't want to get off topic but I was never a Simmons fan at all. I watch every SEC game and he didn't impress me. His defense was terrible, he can't shoot and the only reason he had such good block and steals numbers was because offenses weren't afraid to go 1v1 with him. He might be a nice passer but I don't see him anywhere near a LeBron At best he's another Rudy Gay. A guy everyone keeps defending off potential and gets a huge contract. His work ethics was terrible in LSU to where he wouldn't even listen to his Uncle one of the coaches there. Okafor is in the wrong ERA he's a poor mans Shaq, I like RoCov but on a good team he's a 6th man, Luwawu I like and they need a PG. I don't see them really as good as people think they are. I just don't see this amazing team everyone else sees. Then again I'm also not a Sixers fan so I see things from an unbiased view from a fan who lives here. I think so many Sixers fan have such a biased view of the team it's not funny The trade proposals I was seeing involving Okafor for Superstar players was laughable at best. That GM put that team in a better position than anyone could have hoped for.
Still not Good.... And it was more of a joke the first time.Thread title updated
yeah we have a few months we can talk about this. Agreed the "trust the process" is a little watered down at this point because most don't really understand all of it. Remind me in a few weeks when everything slows down again, and we can go over it. Without a doubt Hinkie saved the Sixers franchise and literally was a magician with what he was able to pull. Key to really understanding it is knowing where that team/org. was when he startedThat GM put that team in a better position than anyone could have hoped for.
yeah you are totally missing the point here and what exactly Sam did. In all honesty with the love he gets, it is still under-stated how much he actually did for that franchise. Not really how many games will Embiid play?I love the player and was on record with many who didn't want him they had to take him because of potential but he's been getting hurt so much how long will he last? I disagree I don't think he did anything to help the team. Most people in the league think he put the team in a worst position I I don't trust Harris. He also Owns the Devils and we know how well they've done with him owning them. Interesting point my Boss is a NYG fan and Devils fan but a Sixers and Phillies fan so Harris owns two teams he likes. I don't trust Harris and I was totally against tanking but I beat that like a dead horse. I did a draft history attempt from after AI was selected up till when the team selected Noel just to show the team didn't need to tank and show how many good players that were reasonably available where they picked got passed up. The Sixers didn't need new ownership but a whole redo of the scouting department from top to bottom. I don't trust Harris for them at all. I think he's the type who doesn't care about winning and he's already made a $1 on a penny or whatever that term is since buying them.yeah we have a few months we can talk about this. I'm convinced you're not a fan of any player, from any team, in any sport. Not really how many games will Embiid play?I love the player and was on record with many who didn't want him they had to take him because of potential but he's been getting hurt so much how long will he last? god bless you for making it through all thatyeah you are totally missing the point here and what exactly Sam did. In all honesty with the love he gets, it is still under-stated how much he actually did for that franchise.
Will agree Okafor sucks, won't argue that. Everything else, we will save for another day
Won't argue for Harris, ownership came out a few weeks ago and admitted to not knowing anything about hat they were getting with the Sixers:I disagree I don't think he did anything to help the team. Most people in the league think he put the team in a worst position I I don't trust Harris. He also Owns the Devils and we know how well they've done with him owning them. I'll just leave it at this. I hate the whole process of tanking. I think it's a b*tch move to do by any team in the league. I get why teams do it and if you want I could show if I can find the summary of the drafts I did of what I mean. I just don't agree with any team tanking. Yes they had to get rid of certain players but the tanking the way it was done and how Hinkie went about it was just really thumbing his nose at the league which is why they stopped it which I was in full support of.yeah sorry, still missing a lot. Salary cap, future draft picks, etc. etc. I am pooped, and we can save this for the lottery picks or NBA draft time frames. But a few quickies to look up:
http://www.nba.com/sixers/hinkie-flow-chart/
http://www.phillyvoice.com/what-theyre-saying-sixers-news-schedule-roster-should-be-thanking-sam-hinkie/
there are some good one's out there. Honestly you got to look deeper in this one to really understand what Sam did. He inherited a team with no draft picks and a bloated salary of superstars like Kwame Brown, Andrew Bynum, etc. Dude turned the whole ship 180 in 2-3 seasons by literally making dummies out of half the league. Look up the Spencer Hawes-Nick Stauskas trade, or how the Sixers got Saric as simple jaw dropping moves that make you understand how Hinkie may have had a short life here because at a certain point most teams would be too scared to trade with him again
A lot of talent going between the picks we swapped for Jernigan. I hope he's worth it and not just a one year rentalThere goes Forman.
Not mad but I[d have preferred a guy at round 2 who can you know play this year. After 3 picks we have a DE and 2 CB's. I can't be mad.
I'd be fine with Ingram but does he fit the scheme? Can't believe saints drafted kamara. Ingram must be on the block. Please Howie get on the phone cause we need a rb
I think so. If he comes cheap, him plus smallwood seems good to me.I'd be fine with Ingram but does he fit the scheme?
If we aren't giving up much I'd take him.I think so. If he comes cheap, him plus smallwood seems good to me.
I'm not trying to change your opinion but you are wrong about the injury if you tear your Achilles it comes back stronger and your less likely to ever tear it again that's a 100% fact not an opinion. He also ad one of the better tears if there is a such thing. The Sixers took a 300 pound guy with a foot injury that's not near the same thing. I also like the system he comes with it has produced good secondary players the last few years. If you don't like the player its fine we all have different opinions but the injury is a non issue.I never bought the hype for one and I'm always gushy of recovery of Achilles. Most guys are never the same player after this injury. This isn't like a knee injury you can comeback from. This a serious tendon. The take an injured guy because we aren't doing anything this year is dumb and just goes to show how soft this city got mentality wise with the whole tanking with the Sixers. It's a typical sixers type move. I want guys who can start now so we know what we have. It's why I was so against resigning Vick awhile back when we had Foles. Let Vick go and let Foles play so you know what you had in Foles
I just can't believe we are going into the season with this RB coreIf we aren't giving up much I'd take him.
There's still a decent amount of RB's that I'm curious about. I wonder if they wait and grab a Williams (BYU) or even Hill from Wyoming. Can't believe saints drafted kamara. Ingram must be on the block. Please Howie get on the phone cause we need a rb
I don't get the hype on him. He seems to fit in covering speedy guys but seems like he'll have problems covering big physical guys and we got a bunch of big boys in our Div now. He really need to add muscle or IMHO he's gonna get beat routinely by them. The foot injury Embiid has is long lasting. It's not an injury that goes away. It's what forced Yao to retire btw. Maybe Embiid deals with it better with his age and height though.I'm not trying to change your opinion but you are wrong about the injury if you tear your Achilles it comes back stronger and your less likely to ever tear it again that's a 100% fact not an opinion. last year's RB core wasn't so wonderful either. Still tons of time before the season starts, still value in free agent RBs i believe tooI just can't believe we are going into the season with this RB core
And James Conner just got picked by Pittsburgh. Man what a fit there!!!!!last year's RB core wasn't so wonderful either. Still tons of time before the season starts, still value in free agent RBs i believe too
