*Official 2017 Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles* - Parade of Champions Down Broad Street! (2 Viewers)

Adam Schefter @AdamSchefter

An MRI on Monday will determine whether Eagles CB Ronald Darby's dislocated ankle will require season-ending surgery, per @mortreport.

Xrays on Darby were negative.  No broken bones, so just looking at tomorrow's MRI now for ligament damage.  Either mid this season or done for the year.  Oh man this could be big.

EDT:  McLeod tweeted "he will be fine"
(looking for any good news at this point)

From David Chao, MD @ProFootballDoc:

#Darby @Eagles better case scenario.
Sounds like subtalar ankle dislocation
If so, no surgery, mid season return.

The "lower ankle" joint.
Talus and calcaneus, as opposed to "true" ankle (tibiotalar).
Good bone stabilty, thus heals relatively quickly.

Not anticipating tendon damage.
Yes, ligament tear but unlikely surgery.
With quick reduction by good @Eagles med staff, will play 2017.

I like delivering good news.
Doubt surgery, likely mid-season return.
If IR, good chance for DFR.

Yeah I figured this would be the response I would get in here but putting the personal off-field stuff aside.
Ya I believer there was always some Ben comparison's to Carson.  Big body, surprisingly mobile, intangibles off the charts, etc.  Would be happy if he turned into a Ben.

Love Carson's guts, creativity, mobility...definitely LOOKS like a franchise QB. Not all that happy on his accuracy though...still missing a few he shouldn't, mechanics apparently not fixed yet, and may never be. If they're never fixed, his upside is capped at slightly above average NFL starter....which isn't all that bad, but it's a tough row to hoe from there to a Super Bowl victory.

Love the weapons on offense, love the D-line and think that line will help the average at best secondary a ton. O-line has me just a little nervous, but nobody else seems too worried there. Looks like a contender for the playoffs early, but not a true contender. Still early...Wentz might grow more and surprise.

Just a few notes from last nights game:

I know I'm higher on him than most but Wentz looks so good and they're going to keep the ball in his hands a lot. The running game just doesn't look good but it is just one week.

Speaking of Wentz, I LOVED the deep shots.  I'd like to think he starts hitting them more and Alshon comes down with some of the 50-50 balls. If so, look out.

Agholor looks completely different than in years past.

The DL and the depth is HUGE. Those guys looked amazing.

As you all know I can't stand Ertz, but with the way he finished last season with his physical play and catching the ball more and more over the middle he's starting to grow on me. He had a really good game yesterday

Why does it feel like Peters misses snaps of every game? Big V looked pretty bad at times yesterday too.

He looks like a more athletic Big Ben......which is who, Rodgers?
He's much bigger than Rodgers.  My wife and another Steelers fan yesterday compared him to Ben after that first TD.  I said I didn't really see it, because he's far more elusive and less pure strength.  Perhaps closer to Luck.

Carson Wentz on 3rd down against Washington: 9/12, 8 conversions (2 TDs). Average distance faced 9.16 yds.
This is the stat that means more than anything by far.  As we all know, it's been a frustrating 3 years how it seems like we can never stay on the field after 3rd down (or get off the field after the opponents 3rd down).

Him extending drives like this is HUGE.  I hope those third and long conversions can keep it up all year but with a bit of likely natural regression from that 75% on 3rd and 9s, we're going to have to give him shorter distances on 3rd downs.

Exciting stuff nonetheless

Yes Oline is my only real worry here.  Also, like it or not, we do need that run game going.

Loved Ertz going into this season more than I ever have.  He just looks so reliable out there and has been catching everything Carson throws at him.

Ertz seems to get way more love from the National media than the local fans and punditry.  Are locals giving him the "Bobby Abreu" treatment.....with the reality that we don't want to acknowledge that we have a very good/on the verge of being  kind of great (Top 5-7 at his position) player?

Pederson's play calling just makes me smh at times. Those lateral passes with WRs missing blocks drive me nuts
He does seriously need to cut that #### out.  I always hated it when Reid did gadget plays and Pederson seem to have taken up that bad habit.  K.I.S.S.

At the time I hated that play with the fumble but after watching some of the tape on it, it was a good call and one that had the potential to go for big yardage.

For me, it's that he doesn't fit my image of a TE.  Maybe I'm getting old but some of the running away from blocks (in Cincy) and sliding after making catches over the middle are not very TE like, in my book.  His blocking is another issue but I can give a pass on that because he is more of a receiver.  After the Cincy game last year he came out different.  He's lowering his head and fighting for extra yards now.  I think all of his catches yesterday came over the middle and from what I recall he didn't look scared.  These are steps in the right direction for him but I still don't know if he's a top 5-7 TE

I guess if Wentz throws a better ball and the WRs actually block it might have looked different but to call it on 3rd and 9 when it hadn't worked 2 times already is just dumb.

The one I screamed about in the game thread was the third and one. Blount just went for 5 and 4 yards, so what's he do? Shotgun!!! Inside handoff!! -2 yards!! I called the damn play when they were lined up, you think the Redskins might have known?? Like CPA said, keep it simple, you have a big fat back just lineup big and get one damn yard.

It would be nice to see Wentz study film on Brady and learn to be as effective with the quarterback sneak.  As non-athletic and frail as Brady is, he has always been amazingly good at picking up a yard with the sneak. I can'[t remember seeing him fail.

Brady 1st down every time.  Snap it quick, lower the shoulder behind the big guard/center and get the yard.
