England will earn 22-24 million $ in the tournament.NewlyRetired said:FIFA never disappoints do they![]()

Fines recently issued out by FIFA...
#ENG - £50k for wearing unauthorised socks.
#MAR - £50k for crowd disturbances.
#SRB - £15k for political and offensive banner.
#MEX - £11.5k fans throwing objects at players.
#RUS - £7.6k for discriminatory banner
the tiny amount of money is silly, but the really entertaining part is that wearing the wrong socks is 7 times worse than bashing gay people with a banner in FIFA ethics.England will earn 22-24 million $ in the tournament.
Not sure who MAR is.
Serbia earned 8 million.
Mexico earned 12 million.
Russia earned 16 million.
So, those fines are really going to make a dent in that.
It’s like they use the same algorithm for their fines that Joe uses for his ban lengths.
The distinction, I imagine, is that players are under the control of the Federations in a way the fans are not.the tiny amount of money is silly, but the really entertaining part is that wearing the wrong socks is 7 times worse than bashing gay people with a banner in FIFA ethics.
Can you imagine how much it would have been if the players wore the wrong socks?NewlyRetired said:Footy AccumulatorsVerified account @FootyAccums

They are who we thought they were!some of the England stats based on open play are just shocking. Look at this one

In ten hours of game time at the World Cup, Southgate’s men had six shots on target from open play (one of which deflected off Harry Kane’s heel). Saudi Arabia managed the same amount in 180 minutes of football.
one of my all time favorite coaching melt downsThey are who we thought they were!
He is like a WR that can't catch.Raheem Sterling really offers no more than the square root of #### all
You can tell by how little beer is wasted when Belgium celebrate. There are few "big games" less interesting to watch than a World Cup 3rd place match.
Virtually zero interest in this outcome and only occasionally putting it on to watch.
I am just really irritated that I waited until now to watch the tactical-cam feed - without the announcers...There are few "big games" less interesting to watch than a World Cup 3rd place match.

I'm still not quite sure why they even play this.
I agree, but being bored at 8 AM PST, this isn't bad for sports drinking accompaniment. There are few "big games" less interesting to watch than a World Cup 3rd place match.

After one of the semi final matches someone in the Fox studio asked Guus Hiddink what he said to his team to get them motivated for the 3rd place match and he sat there with a blank look for a bit and finally shrugged like "no one cared".There are few "big games" less interesting to watch than a World Cup 3rd place match.

Yeah which is why I haven’t bought into the Southgate hype. It’s basically West Brom.some of the England stats based on open play are just shocking. Look at this one

He can stretch the defense all the way to the bench.Raheem Heyward-Bey
Just saying, the is no way that Bruce Arena would have given most of those players a chance to play...Btw, I just realized...
The French squad in the finals is the team that US got a 1-1 draw against a little over one month ago.
And that French team started Mbappe, Giroud, Griezmann, Matuidi, Pogba, Kante, Mendy, Varane, Umtiti, Mendy, and Sidibe.
Just saying.....
That same US side lost to Trinidad and Tobago with the World Cup on the line iircBtw, I just realized...

This is what I love about soccer coaches and announcers. They actually say stuff of substance. Vermes does this all the time - he never minces words or gives coach speak. After one of the semi final matches someone in the Fox studio asked Guus Hiddink what he said to his team to get them motivated for the 3rd place match and he sat there with a blank look for a bit and finally shrugged like "no one cared".![]()
If you can't see the difference between England and West Brom, you need to just give up commenting on the game.Yeah which is why I haven’t bought into the Southgate hype. It’s basically West Brom.
Maybe so, but the stats count towards the post tournament awards, and there is a slight payout difference to the national federation. Also, historically it looks better to finish 3rd.There are few "big games" less interesting to watch than a World Cup 3rd place match.

Take your logic and get out of here commie! That same US side lost to Trinidad and Tobago with the World Cup on the line iirc
I think only Yedlin and Wood played against T&T. The US roster against France in the friendly was almost a youth teamThat same US side lost to Trinidad and Tobago with the World Cup on the line iirc
Actually, that was a very different US side. That same US side lost to Trinidad and Tobago with the World Cup on the line iirc
I don’t really care. I’m just here to troll @El FloppoI think only Yedlin and Wood played against T&T. The US roster against France in the friendly was almost a youth team
oh wow I had no ideaActually, that was a very different US side.
Very good pointDoes England have anyone that can beat a defender 1 v 1?
