Official 2022 college football thread: its conference realignment season. (1 Viewer)

50 mph wind gusts in Evanston today

both OSU & Northwestern scored their TDs (now 7-7) when they had the wind

Punts into the wind: 5-171-34.2 (long 47)

Punts with the wind: 4-249-62.3 (long 77)

11 completions for 77 yards combined

Is TCU the luckiest team in college football the past 20 years? Is that the 4th or 5th opposing starting quarterback to get knocked of the game against them this year?

Its always such a stark contrast watching games at this time of year. TxTech/TCU - its like 75 and sunny in Fort Worth. Then you turn on all the Big Ten games and its just miserable and gray and cold and rain.
I was in Michigan a few weeks ago and always have a great time there but one of my family members said “yea we won’t see the sun for a full day again until April.”

There’s a lot of beautiful areas in Michigan but I don’t know how people do it.

Alcohol

I could go for a lava flow right about now.

Why is that not a safety?

Or a forward pass.

What the heck were they looking at? I guess they didn't have a clear view of the ball, goal line, and knee all in the same frame. It was pretty easy to piece together, but maybe the review official isn't allowed to do that???

It was almost 80 just north of Pittsburgh early this afternoon. 🤷‍♂️

What I hate about college football:

Northwestern plays the perfect game against Ohio State. They have the ball and the wind in the 4th quarter down 7 and just pooooosay the game.

Run.
Run.
Try to pass on 3rd and long
Try to pass on 4th and long.

I mean come on. GO WIN THE GAME. Try some play action or a pass on first down. Mix it up. Gee, lets play the game to not lose by 30.

They had a chance to win and turtled it up. Those players deserved better from their coaches.

They had a 4th and like 2 from their own 20 with 6 minutes left, and I thought they should've gone for it.

lol @ announcers talking up Penn St and praising them for continuing to play hard in a rout of Indiana and crediting the coaching staff...This is "the program they have become". Yes...Yes it has.

it's brutal. we will literally go weeks on end without a peek of sun. mix in snow, going dark at 4:30 and temps hovering below zero oftentimes for several week at a time.... it's why people here drink and get absurdly fat, but consider both to be totally normal.

Tennessee is going to beat Georgia in Athens
Nah

Tennessee is going to beat Georgia in Athens
Nope

Not talking **** because TN will obviously be Dogs in Athens... but I'd love to hear you guys' best guess at final score.

I think Tennessee will most likely score mid to upper 30s on Georgia... with a decent chance getting into the mid to upper 40s.
Tennessee might score some but I think it’ll be their lowest output of the year. I’ll go 38-24 dawgs
Well got the amount the dawgs won by correct. 💰

Notre Dame’s defense showed up tonight. Special teams is so beyond transformed from BK saying he doesn’t believe in practicing it - one blocked punt for TD and just tipped another to get the ball at the 50.

If ND had a QB, it could have been a better year. Pyne still playing like the 4’10” QB he is.
