They cant really customize to a player. They pick a vendor, who pays hansomely for the exclusive rights. Headwear isn’t like a tee. Different vendors have different fits….different crown sizes…etc. All they can do is give the players options from their line.
Pretty sure USA's reaction to his match winning putt puts that rumor to bed. I doubt they'd troll the Euro fans back with the hat waving if that reason were true.
Eh. How hard is it to put a clause in there forcing the vendor to ensure the hats fit all players? Hell, it's honestly a pretty terrible look for New Era to not ensure their hats fit every player.
There is a reason New Era doesn’t sign up for this…it’s tiny revenue-wise. Only lower cost providers see any worth doing it any kind of customization, and they won’t pay for the rights. It’s a branding exercise for NE with a goal of spending as little as possible.

I like it. If Morikawa, Cantlay, Homa, and Harman can all play like they did today I think they'll win their matches. If Burns, Scheffler, or Brooksie can steal a point or two in those 3 matches then it'll get really nerve racking for the Euros.
He didn't stand in Rory's line. He was waving his hat in celebration near Rory because that's where he'd been standing when Cantlay made his putt. Rory told him to **** off and get off the green and he said something back to Rory before moving away and being yelled at by Lowry and Rose and barking back at them. Sure, he probably should've just walked away without saying anything, but for Christ's sake.... it was the only big moment the Americans have had all week. Give it a second IMO.
